President Trump referring to Iran as the U.S. pushes for Tehran to end its nuclear program just days after a White House meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Earlier today, a second aircraft carrier was sent to the Middle East. The president said he wanted it there in case a deal can't be made. Earlier this week, the president suggested the deal could be made in about a month.
And the president accusing Democrats of refusing to vote for voter ID. In a post on Truth Social, he wrote a search legal argument and will be presenting one in the near future. And he wrote there will be voter ID for the midterm elections, whether approved by Congress or not.
This is Homeland Security Secretary Christine Ohm says the Save America Act is something the government owes the American people.
The bill, which passed in the House, includes requiring voters to present proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in a federal election.
They also say that this act requires voters to have a U.S. passport to register. That's not true. There's many multiple options that are given to provide proof of citizenship, including military ID, government ID, photo ID with a proof of birth and location.
Noam and Republicans say it will prevent fraud, while Democrats say voting by non-citizens is already illegal and very rare.
