Unknown 0:07
Standing at your door, just like I've done before.
Bobby Skinner 0:12
You've changed, so strange you're all grown up. Welcome to Giants Nation, I'm your host Bob Ruskin and here with my co-host the football pro. And welcome to way too early 2027 draft preview week. But it is way too early, but it's not as early as past years. We usually do this the week before the 4th of July. Now we're doing it two weeks after. This is another monumental episode. There's a very likely chance we will not be talking about this player on our team. But we finally reached the Arch Manning way too early draft preview. I mean, how does that feel? We are talking about a Manning being drafted on our podcast about the Giants.
The Football Grump 0:53
It feels early. It feels early to talk about a Manning, but we've also been talking about him since he was wearing a high school uniform.
Bobby Skinner 1:00
I was going to say it feels late. I remember tweeting about him in 2019. It almost feels like, oh, wow, we're finally here.
The Football Grump 1:06
Didn't he sit his first year at Newman, too? Or did he jump right in and just play?
Bobby Skinner 1:11
I'm pretty sure he jumped right in. But I remember specifically when we drafted Daniel Jones and there being a clip of Arch Manning at some camp and just putting a 50-yard dime. I'm like, Daniel Jones, just hold off for eight years. And he almost did. He almost did. But we're here. Likely not to be the Giants quarterback, but we do two quarterbacks every year on the way to early no matter what, and we could not pass up on an Arch Manning one. no not at all it's actually funny 2019 is like three apartments ago for me now that i think about it that's crazy how long ago 2019 really is um but yeah you know doing the show with danny king that's that's crazy long ago but um we're gonna do a little potsville talk at the end by the way we did our 24-hour stream we're going to potsville pennsylvania which maybe i would have said this wherever we went but it really is like a

It's almost like a perfect location for a live show. Northeast, not too big, but it has things to do. You know, so we'll talk about that at the end. But before we get into these draft prospects, this episode was brought to you by some special people. We got David Caceres, Tom Potricus, Anthony LaMotta, and Jared Mincio. We got Spanish people and Italians. I think. Tell me if I'm wrong, guys, when I ask you for your address for stickers. Grump, who are these special people?
The Football Grump 2:40
These special people, regardless of their ethnicity, went to Patreon.com slash Giants Nation and signed up for one of the two tiers available. They received stickers in the mail from Bobby Skinner himself. They get entered into a free T-shirt raffle every single month, also giving away copies of Jordan's book every month as well. They get access to hang out during live recordings of episodes just like this one. And also during the regular season, get weekly game tape breakdowns from Bobby Skinner. But most importantly, they were glad that they did.
Bobby Skinner 3:12
You'd be glad that you did. All right, let's get into these prospects. So we're going to start with the quarterbacks. And we are starting. You remember since 2019? It's been since 2019 since we started a podcast talking about a Manning at quarterback. Arch Manning, quarterback out of Texas, 6'4", 226 pounds. Remember, these are just listed numbers. A year from now, eight months from now, we'll have better numbers on that. Which, by the way, I kind of like the combine being right before free agency starts now. Arch Manning, 6'4", 226 pounds. One year as a starter, completed 61% of his passes, 240 yards per game, 26 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, plus 500 yards on the ground and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
Bobby Skinner 4:01
I watched his film. I liked it. I think he would have been a top 10 pick in this draft if he came up. We'll go through it, Grump. And I'll say this. I didn't like what the Texans did offensively. I'm kind of out on Sark. But I think he's almost a victim of his hype. Like you mentioned, we've been hyping him for so long that I was almost wanting a little bit more when watching him, Grump.
