All right, we now welcome on our good friend Art Stapleton as we start to close up our West Virginia training camp coverage. Art, thank you for jumping on. When people are listening to this, it's the day of the live show. We were just talking about how we're excited for that. How do you like West Virginia so far? As I'm asking you this question, I'm almost getting emotional because it's almost over. How have you enjoyed West Virginia Giants training camp?
You know, the obvious thing is you're away from Jersey, away from the family, and that, you know, every picture I see of my wife and my daughter, you know, getting ice cream, I wish I was home. But, you know, it's been fun. I mean, look, you come down here and it's all, you know, they joke it's all ball. For us, it kind of gives you the freedom to be able to do a lot of different things. You know, I'll go back to the hotel room and I'll try to write two more stories, you know, and do a podcast and do your podcast and everything. So... I do like I like the green bar. I like the setup the way it is. It's nice to get into a routine. But I do miss seeing the fans there every day. I feel bad for the fans who are back at your back in Jersey who couldn't come and be a part of this.
But. Bobby, we saw it yesterday, you know, where the show was running, you know, on Friday. Yesterday, I'm walking through. I try to do a point of view video to just have some fun. I couldn't last 30 seconds before somebody walking into my video saying... hey, Art, love your stuff, love this, love that. Then, you know, a family sitting at a picnic table calling me over, then call you over, then call somebody over. You know, it's been cool because you know that the fans have to make a commitment to be here. We're all making the commitment to be here. And, you know, I like it.
It's been fun. The conversation started with every listener. It was like, hey, how far, you know, are you local? And so everyone, it's almost like a stock answer. Like I had about three hours out, whether it's east, west, north, or south. And I didn't ever get to go to Albany, but the people who I talked to who were there, this very much feels like an Albany camp where you're a lot closer, honestly, to the action. It's an older crowd. But it's been fun. Like you said, selfishly, I kind of like it being in West Virginia as someone who doesn't live in New Jersey.
