Not to get too deep into it, but this whole idea of him being an edge weirds me out, where I'm like, why? Why?

You're a linebacker. Why are you trying to be an edge? Why are you spending so much time? You're not an edge rusher in the NFL. So that kind of weirds me out on him, but I do got to do my full write-up on him before I give a full opinion, which is coming next week on our Top 15 show.
I mean, I haven't done too much work on him. I'll just say from a distance, it kind of scares me when guys don't have a definitive position. And I say, oh, you know, he could play here, here, here, here. Those guys haven't generally done great in the NFL. The guys without positions. As well, he's so versatile. I don't know. I haven't done too much work on him. I'm just going to say I don't think he's the one who's going to be their guy. Like Bobby said, likelihood is he's gone beforehand. Anyway. But... So to me, it comes down to Caleb Downs and Sonny Stiles as the two that you should sort of focus in on here. Downs, super high-end safety. Again, though, he kind of – it's the same argument as Jeremiah Love in a way.
I guess if you have a great player at that position, if you draft Kyle Hamilton, which they had in Baltimore – It's a super valuable player. You're not getting the extreme financial value that you get generally with a top five pick if you draft either of those two guys, though. Downs being a safety and Sonny Stiles being middle linebacker. Or I should say, yeah, off-ball linebacker. The middle linebackers, I mean, what were they getting this year? $16 million a year is a super high-end guy. $20 million is basically like the max. And then so you come in with the fifth pick and you're making the round 11 and a half. So again, all of these kind of fall into the same category. I think that's why people, you look at this draft, you're like, this isn't a great draft.
But to me, the guy in that scenario is, that I hear the most buzz around the Giants is probably Caleb Downs more than Sonny Stiles. I know some people might be surprised by that. And it's early. We'll see. They just went to the pro day. But I just think he's the guy that I'm keeping the closest eye on.
