Usually this is the first, last episode of March Kicking in the Draft previews, and that's what's going to be Nick Villato, a big blue banter, we're going to be talking about some five mid-round prospects, also what we would, you know, his thought process at pick five, which I will say, we got our top 15 episode coming out on Friday and I started watching some film on guys that I had it. I think there's a, a name that I I'm surprised is not talked about more for the giants.

Um, uh, He was the Giants' fourth longest tenured player after Dexter Lawrence and Slayton from the 2019 draft and then Thomas from the 20 draft. You remember, Aldrick Rosas got arrested, but not for DUI. It was, you know, he was doing like 100 miles per hour. He crashed. They found him later, you know, bloodied up with no shoes. Very weird situation. So Rosas was going to be their kicker again in 2020 if that had not happened. And, you know, Roswell's career kind of plummeted after that, even though he did get opportunities.
And Ganoa was awesome for the Giants for the first three seasons.

Because it ended so badly, you sometimes forget that. I mean, he was automatic, you know, and they extended him in season in 2020. And then Joe Shane did the same thing in 2022. You know, and just to look back at his first three seasons, He was 90 for 98. 90 for 98. I mean, that's impressive for a three-year run, especially for a guy that was well into his 30s. Like the last three seasons, the Giants have missed 17 kicks.

There were some weird media appearances from Grinnell basically acting like it was insane to question his health for a guy who had went out there and caused the Giants games by playing through injuries. It's more on the team to see a kicker who admitted that he's going to need surgery after the season and not shut him down. But he missed 23 games over the last three years. I mean, you just can't have that at the kicker situation.

But it was just stupid to bring him back. I don't understand why it was... Coming off of the year where it was, hey, Josh Azudu's our swing tackle again. Jermaine Illumina was going to play guard. Evan Neal has just slayed in a starting at right tackle. A year where the offensive line was kind of totally mismanaged in the offseason, where they had the panic sign Greg Van Roten in training camp when Evan Neal was injured. And there was other moves that offseason, too, were like, this just doesn't make any sense.

There really wasn't any don't make any sense moves. roster moves last year going into the season, except for this. It was like, why was Kicker just not addressed at all with Graham Gonneau being bad and injured the last two years? And guess what? He wasn't bad this year, but he was injured. He got injured twice this season. So, unfortunate ending to a guy who did... a great job for the Giants for three years. He just got injured. I mean, he's 38 years old. That's going to happen to kickers. So I'm sure he'll get another shot when some other team's kicker gets injured, and I hope for him to do well.
