But in the meantime, so they re-signed Luminor. They miss out on Elijah Vera Tucker. Everyone thought, oh, instantly they're going to pivot to Wyatt Teller. You know, that's going to be done. Now, the Haddock had some interest in Wyatt Teller, but they decided at the point at that time, You know, we don't really want to spend the money. Apparently, they had Elijah Vera Tucker in a different range than the other offensive linemen that are out there. I mean, there's still some pretty good players out there. You know, you have guys like Joel Batonio, Wyatt Teller, Dylan Parnum, who are all still out there. I have a list here. These are guys that were essentially thought to be in the $10 million-ish range, maybe more for the most part.
And it doesn't look like that money is going to be there for them. And the Giants clearly still aren't that interested in going there for those kind of players. Now, I noted that from talking to people around the league, you get the vibe that, hey, they're not going to get that pay for that mid-level guard right now that's left, that's available. you know eight ten million dollar range but you know if they can get someone on the cheap a cheaper deal a more affordable deal I wouldn't be surprised if they then make that so There's a possibility still that they add a guard. Maybe the markets for certain players drop. Maybe other players become available. These are the kind of things I think you should look out for.
A player like Greg Van Roten returning, I don't think is out of the question at all. So these are all kind of where everything is at with the Giants in that guard position. Nothing's happening at the moment. But it's not impossible for them to reestablish and reemerge as a potential suitor for the guards that are on the market. You know, let's see how it pans out. And also, I think something we should keep an eye on closely. I just mentioned this before. is the potential of some guy shaking free, a veteran shaking free. So maybe a veteran shakes free, and giants like that guy, he's a big physical player who fits the profile of what John Harbaugh wants and what they're looking for in the run game. And when he comes available, and you can get him for, I don't know, $5 million, $6 million, $4 million, whatever it may be, you could throw in a bunch of upside there for them, and there you go.
