Now, let me tell you a little bit about today's episode. Today, we're bumping our trad wife episode in the feed. Now, this is an episode I did where I pretty much presented like a thesis and a giant essay where I compared the first season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives hand in hand with the memoir of Tia Levings. And Tia lived as a trad wife and escaped. And her book is so incredible. And if you are interested in trad wife culture, if you want to know more about it, I highly recommend reading her book.
You'll know if you want to read it after listening to the recap on this episode. Now, one very interesting thing about trad wife content lately is that Obviously, there's been some great books that have come out. Guest on this podcast, Carol Claire Burke. She wrote the book Yesteryear, which is a bestseller about a trad wife. Also, guest of the podcast, Joe Piazza, wrote a novel about trad wives titled Everyone is Lying to You, which people are loving. So there's a lot of books coming out, movies. I also think This subject in general kind of brings together womanhood and equality and sort of this political crux we're at of old values versus new. And so whether you are interested in Tradwife content or not, the conversation is always absolutely fascinating.
The conversation in our Patreon has been great. There have been some people who have lived trad wife lives and gotten free and talked about their experiences who have made incredible comments in the book club and in the Patreon that have really educated me. And so one thing when I'm thinking about trad wife content is that sometimes we have this idea of trad wives and it's like the ballerina farm, the influencers, the women wearing perfect prairie dresses and a full beat and making their little pie videos. And if you really look behind it, it's incredible production design. They're actually the breadwinner of their family. They're making content. They're not really living that trad wife life. They're just doing the propaganda for it.
