Welcome back to the show. I hope you are doing well. Today on the program, we're gonna do something a little bit different. And uh I'm going to share a testimony of how the Lord has changed my life and my mindset on business. I share little bits and pieces of this on the program in the past, and recently someone had asked me. to share uh to a group of about a hundred men my testimony. And that was it. They didn't give me like any instructions. Like I was thinking, you know, my testimony about what? Like what exactly you want me to share. And so uh anyway, I recorded the the session and I want to share that experience with you because it's really shaped who I've become as an entrepreneur. As a small business owner, uh, really as a leader of men, I appreciate you listening to this podcast.
Our our analytics are like ninety-five percent men or whatnot. And it's exciting to me when you Reach out to me telling me how successful you are and how prosperous you are and the financial wins that you're having and the the success in business that you're having, it it motivates me to keep pouring out the content and hopefully in some part and way encouraging you to become a better person and to fulfill the assignment that God has on your life. So Anyway, without further ado, I'm going to switch over to um the Zoom call here and let it rip. So enjoy, hopefully it goes well.
So without further ado, um, Paul, I'll let you come on in here and you can tell us a little bit about you and tell us your testimony. Excited to hear this.
Alrighty. So I'm a little bit more on the introverted, quiet side. Brandon invited me to breakfast and I'm thinking I'm gonna get to eat a pancake, maybe a couple of strips of bacon, sit in the corner. That was my game plan. So uh we're all hanging out at Ben's and uh Brandon's like, Yeah, Paul, why don't you go ahead and share? And I'm thinking, share, I I was just gonna sit in the corner and eat a you know, eat bacon. So I didn't have any time to like plan or think of what I was gonna share. And I'll keep it PG because it looked like Josh had his little kids on his lap. Um, but I was very, very vulnerable and honest of of you know what Jesus has done for me. Back in my senior year of high school. I had no intentions of following Jesus and I was, you know, partying like crazy and, you know, living that lifestyle.
And this lady that lived in our neighborhood, her name was Debbie Draper. And I was a senior in high school. Her daughter was a freshman. And long story short, um, her daughter had got involved with boys and all of that stuff and her mom had found out and sh her mom is a prayer warrior, intercessor lady, and she got so mad that her daughter was making these poor decisions.
How did a neighbor’s fasting prayer lead to Paul’s first encounter with Jesus?
And so she's like, That's it. I'm gonna fast and pray until all these knuckleheads get born again. And so she literally started fasting um from food. She only was drinking water and she did this for 10 days. I I found this out afterwards, but she was fasting and praying for her daughter to get saved, for me to get saved. I was kind of like the ringleader in the neighborhood, and we're all partying and acting a fool. And so she was praying for all of our like group of of you know high schoolers to meet Jesus. And her husband was a businessman. They were in Canada on a business trip. I grew up in Ohio. She's literally not eating food and she's staying at like a nice hotel where you can eat nice food and everything.
And she's telling her husband, I can't eat. And she's fasting and praying for us. And while she was in the hotel, the Lord spoke to her and said, Paul's mine.
