Welcome back to the Green Industry Podcast. I'm Paul Jamison down here in beautiful sunny Florida. Today we're gonna talk about time management because I just listened to two audiobooks this past week about time management. Is it something That as an entrepreneur, I've been struggling with um finding enough hours in the day. I like to golf. I want to include that in my day. I like to work out, exercise, like strength training. How do I have enough time to do that in the day? I like to walk. Beautiful walking down here in Florida. How do I get enough time to do that? And keep all of my team members going on their task and keep all of my customers. Very, very happy that we're going to be able to do that It's a lot, right?
Paul Jamison 1:29
So what if I told you that we could master our time better and that is going to truly unlock us to the next level in our business. I was talking with one of my coaches recently. About my business. And they're like, I think you need better time management, Paul, because I I'm I'm being stretched thin and I'm not really reaching my full business potential. So what I did is I dived into two powerful audiobooks. One that I've listened to before, but I knew I needed a little kick in the rear end. So I listened to it again. And then I listened to a fresh new book that I've never listened to. So these two books I'm gonna kind of unpack. It's kind of like a book review episode today of No BS Time Made. Management for Entrepreneurs by Dan Kennedy.
Paul Jamison 2:15
I've talked about that book before on the podcast. I listened to it again this week, and it was so timely. It was so good um to to get me refocused. And I also listened to an audiobook by Cal Newport called Deep Work. So In this fast paced world of entrepreneurship, Really effective time management, it's it's crucial. It's it we have to conquer this if we're truly going to Scale our businesses, optimize our revenue, stay ahead of the competition. We have to master our time. So in today's podcast, I want to basically just share my fresh takeaways because I just got done listening to these books. So we're gonna start with um the no BS time management for entrepreneurs. Before we dive into that, real quick, um, my buddy Naylor's hosting an event.
Paul Jamison 3:03
If you're listening to this before June 26th and 27th. A year 2026, he's hosting an event in Richmond, Virginia at the Omni Hotel. There in Richmond, good old Omni. And uh it's all about how to increase your profits. So um Eric Triplett, the pond digger is gonna be there speaking. Joey Coberly, Kevin Salters, John Pajak, Naylor Talia Farrow. Get your rear end to Profit Accelerator Live. If you want to know your numbers better, grow your profits. Fantastic lineup. That event is gonna be fire, fire, fire. Um, and it says on the registration what's your promo code and you can type in Paul. All righty, let's start with no BS time management for entrepreneurs. So first of all, Dan Kennedy is probably my favorite author. He's very uh bold, direct, straightforward, and hilarious. But it's it's just the more books you read for listen to him from him, you'll be like, man, this guy's this guy's a comedian, but he's also a very, very uh successful businessman. So uh my friend Dr. Frank Holliman turned me on to Dan Kennedy years ago, and I just started binge watching or binge listening to his Yeah. And uh he's he's incredible.
