Welcome back to the Green Industry Podcast. I hope you are doing well. I'm very excited for today's program. I'm fresh off a seminar by Dan Kennedy about wealth attraction. And I want to share my top 10 lessons I learned about wealth attraction from one of my business heroes, Dan Kennedy. Now, you've probably heard me uh talk about good old Dan Kennedy before. I got introduced to him by my friend Dr. Frank Holliman years ago. And I started studying what Dan Kennedy had to teach about marketing. Which he is an absolute Genius expert, fill in the blank about how to market your business, how to get Top premium customers. That's that's his wheelhouse. But he also Interestingly enough, is a great Teacher. of how he thinks about money.
Now Dan Kennedy is a multi, multi, multi-millionaire, very successful entrepreneur. He actually uh lives up in Ohio, my my home state. And And I figured he did 'cause I would I in some of his audio books I'd hear him mention the Cleveland Browns and I was like, All right, not everyone knows about the Cleveland Browns now. So you gotta kinda you're gonna mention him. You probably are from Ohio and and it was lo and behold he was. But anyway. He has helped transform the way I think about money. And there's been a handful of others. Dave Ramsey, I've I've mentioned him on the program a lot. He's helped me a lot about my mindsets with money. And uh Rabbi Daniel Lappin, who wrote the book Thou Shall Prosper.
But that trifecta of those three men. Dave Ramsey, Dan Kennedy, Rabbi Daniel Lappin, they've helped tremendously impact the way I think about wealth creation and obviously our thoughts Those thoughts over time impact our actions, how we actually behave, how we actually manage our team, our customers, our time. And so anyway. I'm gonna share the top ten lessons I learned. about wealth attraction from Dan Kennedy. We're gonna start with number one. Money moves to where it is tracked. And respected. So If you don't know exactly what you are earning.
What are the three foundational principles of wealth attraction for contractors?
What you are spending What you're keeping. Money will flow away from you into the hands of somebody who is paying attention. To these things. So Many different people have mentioned in many different words things along the nature phrases rather of know your numbers and things of that nature. And there's a reason why you keep hearing this. Because Reviewing your profit and loss statement, tracking your daily job costing, having tight bookkeeping. These are the ultimate signs that you truly respect your business. And so Dan Kennedy actually is talking in the wealth creation seminar. I was I watched on YouTube twice now. It's six uh six hours long. This was recorded um years ago. But Dan Kenny was talking about in his checkbook.
He you you know there's like a balance ledger thing in your checkbook. I I have a checkbook right here. You see, Mr. Producer? Some of these young kids don't even know what a checkbook is. But yeah, I got I got it right here. Well, in the checkbook, he keeps uh cause it says record all charges or credits that affect your account. And then you can manually write. When you write a check or have a withdrawal. Well, anyway, he ke he doesn't just keep this balance, he keeps how far away he is from his financial goals. So he has a goal for each year of how much money he wants to earn. And so as he's, you know. Managing his money, he's he's also comparing that to how many hundreds of thousands of dollars he's behind on his goal for the year or whatnot.
So the takeaway is my point is if you want to really truly get to the next level financially. You need to start kiping score.
