Just watching the highlights from Vegas being awarded the conference final trophy. Yeah. The Clarence Campbell Bowl. They didn't touch it. They didn't touch it. They didn't touch it. They did a group picture, though. Yeah.

Chapter 3: What are the implications of the Canucks' draft choices?

73.531 - 92.186 Unknown

See that? Everyone got behind it. Not just the captains, not just the leadership group. All of them. You see, they did touch it the first time they made the Stanley Cup. And they lost to Washington, and they didn't touch it, and they won? That's correct. So then they didn't touch it again. And Mark Stone also was like, has everyone washed their hands? Yeah. Guys, please. Please.

Everyone got their hats? Everyone got their hats? Okay, good.

Chapter 4: How do the Canucks compare to other teams in the league?

94.753 - 116.226 Unknown

We all got our hats. He needs his hat. He... He wore it the entire time. I think he's still wearing it now. Someone texted in a comparison to him being like the Al Iaffredi. Yep. That's an awesome callback. That's a skullet, for those that don't know. The Al Iaffredi haircut. Yeah. It's a cross between a skull and a mullet. A skullet. And he just looks terrifying. A little bit.

Chapter 5: What are the fans' reactions to the Canucks' recent performances?

116.246 - 135.497 Unknown

A little bit. No party in the front. Just business in the back. All business in the back. Can you imagine if Nate looked like that and he was as terrifying as he is? That would be pretty good. Because Nate doesn't look scary. It's just when he starts talking, you're like, okay, he's got a mic below. He's got a real short fuse when he talks to people. Yeah.

0

135.717 - 146.992 Unknown

Nate, like he'll put up with your nonsense for 30 seconds. I just said execution. Yeah. And anything after that, he's like, that's it. Has Mark Stone considered just yelling like a wild man when he goes into the corner to hit somebody?

0

Chapter 6: What insights does Randip Janda provide on player development?

147.012 - 161.313 Unknown

Because it might work. It might scare some players away with how he looks. He's so awesome. I love Mark Stone. He should just come in hollering and people would get out of the way for him. I know Randy's patiently waiting. Exactly. Patiently waiting on hold. Who's this guy? I need to clarify one thing.

161.333 - 170.687 Unknown

When I did the one to watch brought to you by Crow, I mentioned and shout out to longtime show listener John Shorthouse who just texted me. You mean the smart decision by Crow? Smart decision. What did I say? He said one to watch.

Chapter 7: How do the hosts reflect on their learning from the episode?

170.987 - 189.251 Unknown

Oh, whatever. I didn't mention. I mentioned that Canada is going to play both goalies and Shorty pointed out that I didn't actually say who the goalies were. So for those that might not know, it's Max Crapo and Dane St. Clair. I think I've talked about them so much. I just assumed everybody knows, but they're both going to get a half against Uzbekistan.

189.271 - 206.272 Unknown

And I guess that's going to decide who's going to be the starter in the World Cup or at least For the final game, the final warm-up, the friendly against Ireland. Okay, let's go now to the Able Auctions Hotline. Our next guest is a presentation of bells and whistles. Randy Janna joins us now on the Halford & Breff Show on Sportsnet 650. What up, Randy?

0

207.373 - 213.621 Randip Janda

What's going on, boys? I was just patiently waiting over here, imagining hockey players and our colleagues at 650 with a skullet, Oscar, that night.

Chapter 8: What final thoughts do the hosts share about the Canucks' future?

214.9 - 243.422 Randip Janda

conversation you guys have there hey before we get into anything hockey related how much fun did you just have this last week getting to see arsenal in london win the premier league it was and you know i'm not prone to hyperbole but it was a trip of a lifetime guys it was better than i had expected better than anybody could plan uh it really played out like fever pitch the the call of the first movie not that crappy one that jimmy fallon made many years later

0

243.402 - 264.547 Randip Janda

It was cool because, you know, I think as North American fans, like we all appreciate when our team wins, but just to see it play out in a high stress situation like that. And I stayed in Islington, which is in North London, that's Arsenal territory. And to have a village feel in a massive city and everybody, and when I mentioned everybody, everybody's an Arsenal fan.

0

265.248 - 288.875 Randip Janda

The high stress of the Monday and the Burnley match and then Tuesday, city drawing and everybody flooded that area, you know, unorganized. And 150,000 people just randomly show up in front of the stadium. It was in a way like exercising demons because Arsenal had been banter FC. They'd been bottling it. There was nervous energy. It was unbelievable. And I'm not going to lie, guys.

0

288.936 - 303.508 Randip Janda

It kind of made me think about if and when the Vancouver Canucks actually pull it off. Like the vibes will be like that where you're sitting with this energy for so many years. And finally you win, and it just feels like the entire part of that city just exhaled.

0

304.489 - 314.348 Unknown

It is a weird dynamic, though, when your team clinches without playing a game. It's like, what are you guys celebrating? Man City had a tie.

316.538 - 339.013 Randip Janda

You're right, but in the moment, it didn't feel like that. You know what the coolest part of this was? I was actually watching the match in central London, and once the result finished, I went to my hotel, grabbed my Arsenal hat, jumped on the tube, and it was like every stop, 10 more people jumped on the train. They're all heading to, you know, to Everett Stadium.

339.033 - 348.672 Randip Janda

So it was really cool in the sense that nobody planned this. The club didn't send out a tweet. But, you know, you had over 150,000 people just say they drew. All right, we're going to the stadium.

349.681 - 376.262 Unknown

Okay, so while you were doing all that, you missed the discourse from yesterday raging here on Sportsnet 650 about Caleb Malhotra versus Ivar Stenberg. Now, how this all came to be is Stenberg scored a great goal in the Worlds yesterday. Then shortly thereafter, if I got the chronology right, Rick Dollywall on Donnie and Dolly said that it was his belief

376.343 - 395.643 Unknown

That the internally the Canucks had Malhotra ranked ahead of Stenberg going into the draft. I'm not sure how much all this is going to mean at the end of the day, because if everything holds to form, McKenna is going to go one. Stenberg is going to go to the Canucks can take whoever they want on their board at three because the top two guys are going to be gone.
