It has been. It has been a long-ass journey. It has. When I think back to places like South by Southwest, Like going on a shuttle downtown and we've been still in this book. Yeah. That was months ago.

It's been 19 episodes for us to cover this. We did book one in three episodes. So obviously our strategy changed and some people are annoyed by it. Other people love it. So I don't know. Finding the balance between audience. I think there's just always going to be people that complain. People that wait.
Have you found like the percentage of the pros and the cons?
I generally think most people like it. Yeah. And what I my general rule of thumb is if someone's complaining. It's easier to complain than to compliment online. And I think that I always just take a little bit of like complaints with a grain of salt. Like, okay, there's something still for me to learn from and maybe improve the show from a complaint. But I think that whiners, just like myself, I complain online too. It's like, it happens.
What about the complainers? Are they like, no, I want you guys to go back to, well, I don't know, what do you want us to do instead?
Well, I think some people maybe want less banter like Rubio. Oh, yeah. Less of what we're doing right now. Get into the book, right? Yeah. Get to the fucking point. But I think this show is about us as well. It's our journey through the book. It's not just talking about the book itself.

Oh, boy. So with us... concluding this book, we will take our customary break. We're going to take two weeks off before we jump in to book number eight. So there'll be two Fridays of downtime. Not that we won't be posting anything else, but we won't be talking about book eight for another two weeks. All right. I got some other little surprises, little things. So stay tuned. And we got a couple of comments I want to hit on. First one is from Aaron One Quarter Crocodilian Nightingale, who says, small note, which I think is interesting narratively. Everly writes, never writes about the inevitable ruin in the cookbook. She only thinks about it as she dies. So the idea that it's a universal concept that naturally appears in unconnected cultures like fear or the dark or something is reinforced by Carl immediately knowing what juice box is talking about without even hearing the term before.
