Hello everybody, welcome back to the I Am Charles Ford Show. On this episode, we are talking to Jeremy Delk. Now, sure, we could talk about the fact that he was the youngest trader on Wall Street, that he's done multiple Fortune 500 exits, but that's not what this one's about. This one's about the fact that he survived death, he survived divorce, he survived abuse, and still became multimillionaire. We talk about how the only way to succeed is to fail your way to success. The show starts now. Hi everybody, welcome back. I'm excited about bringing Jeremy on for this one. We're going to talk about success and failure, some of the things that I talk about all the time, which is the only way to succeed is to fail. You're one of those people that do it better than anyone I know. So welcome to the show. Thanks so much, man.

So for the people who don't know who you are, and let's talk about your success first, and then we'll talk about all the failures and all the things that got you to that way. So tell me why, what makes you unbelievably successful?

So yeah, so investor, venture capitalist, and I speak a little bit and do some podcasts like this. And yeah, that's me.
So, I'm curious, did you start out successful? Like, what was your background growing up? Were you just born with a silver spoon and money came out of your, or did your dad give you a million dollars to start your empire? Where are you?

Ich hoffe es nicht. Also nein, definitiv nicht Silverspoon. Ich komme aus Kentucky. Ich spreche heute von Lexington. Aber ich bin etwa eine Stunde weg von Tonka, Bardstown, Kentucky, der Bourbon-Kapital der Welt. Also eine super kleine Bevölkerung. Wir sind da eigentlich in der Vierten Klasse geblieben. Wir lebten in Louisville, was vorher eine größere Stadt war. Mein Vater verletzte sich leider, als ich jung war. Wir verletzten uns, als ich sieben Jahre alt war. Er war Mechaniker, Ingenieur, also ein Entrepreneur. Er hatte seine eigene Sache. Ich spreche immer über Stabilität. Aber man kann keine Stabilität von Kindern lernen. Es ist schwer für sie, es zu verstehen. Es ist wie ein Omnipräsident. Sind wir stabil? Nicht stabil.
Gibt es genug Oxygen im Raum? Das Art von Sache. Aber man kann wirklich Unstabilität fühlen. Es war definitiv das Gegenteil. Wir hatten eine Familie, die uns liebte. Freunde, Eltern, Onkel und so. Diese nukleare Familie. Und dann ging es plötzlich weg. Also du hast die Verletzung und das ist ein ganzer Gedanke.
