A jury in the High Court last week concluded that Conor McGregor had assaulted Nikita Hand, to whom he must now pay €248,000 in damages. We talked through the particulars of the trial with Mark Tighe on Friday. While the verdict is less than a week old, the consequences for McGregor have already begun to be borne out. As we chart some of the likely implications for him going forward, we are also joined by Washington-based journalist Luke Thomas to get some perspective on the extent to which McGregor’s profile has been diminished in America & beyond.
