on the air. Stand by. Now, here's JP.
Alright, welcome into uh Incredibly Fun, upbeat, interesting. Hopefully informative Tuesday edition of the JP Peterson show. Despite having a Canadians fan on my show this morning, that is our our co host. Uh we will plow through. We will plow through that negativity and get to all the positivity. I'm all positive right now. CEO CEO of the Rays is going to join us at uh w uh we don't know what time yet. Uh he said he's gonna s pop in at some point on uh StreamYard, so So we will uh as soon as he comes on, we will drop everything and get right to him because it's a big day, Timmy. IndyCar Tim in our Dallas studio there. Well, actually in his Dallas home. Um, but he is uh gonna join us and we're gonna talk about the Rays stadium and also the uh the big city council meeting coming up tonight.
I am dressed in my Rays regalia and my fan streamer guy. So I can I can do that in front of I can Flash the city council's Like fans reports. For my three minutes that I'll get to talk, hopefully tonight. Yeah. Uh we are all meeting at Hattrix. The big O's gonna join us. Um, so we're gonna meet at Hattrix at four o'clock. Isn't that nice? Hatrix is two the greatest hockey bar in the world is two mi two blocks from old city hall. So what a great meeting place. So we we'll meet there and they will we will march over with uh pitchforks and torches. I was That uh yeah uh Young Frankenstein. Uh club scene, yeah. Yes. Torches coming up the mountain. That's us. That's gonna be us. Heading towards City Hall. Oh hey, hey, no, no.
We don't want the race to go. I think I I just came up with that. So yeah, join us at four o'clock and wear your raise gear. I I put out a a public plea for the raise sombrero since it is Cinco de Mayo, Timmy. Happy Cinco de Mile, by the way. Yes. That's big there in Tijas where you are. Absolutely. Yes. Um, so I put out this all call for someone to come up with the the the raise sombrero in two thousand seven, in May of two thousand seven, I looked this up. They gave away a raise sombrero in Senco de Mayo. And it is a collector's item and only a few people probably still have them, you know, probably in your attic collecting dust. Go get that sucker and bring it to Hat Tricks. I think it would be awesome for everyone who's pro raised to walk up to the lectern, the podium when they speak, and we just pass the uh there it is we just pass the sombrero from one person to the another and we uh we have a little raised fiesta on Cinco de Mayo.
Yeah.
do it. In the name of Randy Arroz Arena and all that is holy, I I rise today in support of this race stadium. So and uh yeah, that's us. That's us heading from after a few pops the Petermans to uh
to City Hall.
Oh. No. And I I don't want to be all serious and people yelling and screaming because I know the people that are going to speak against it, I know I know who they are. I know what they look like. I know what their demeanor is. They're going to be so angry and mad. Right? Um We're not. We're we're hopeful, uh wonderful people that love baseball and love bringing the community together uh and doing something iconic um that will last. For generations to come, and that's exactly what this deal is. I I stayed up till about two thirty in the morning trying to craft my little three minute speech and um it came out to about eight minutes. So I'm I still have some work to do to pare this down. But I probably just just throw it away and just speak off the cuff because I think I know exactly what I'm going to say.
But I but I I'll uh you know me, I'll just start rambling like I am now. So I want to kind of a little bit of a script. Yeah, you gotta stick to a little bit of a script, right, to uh to get this done. So uh that's the plan. So if you want to join us, feel free. Uh we got a core of about eight to ten people that have already told me that sh they're showing up to get to to uh to join us.
