I'll gloat a fact that I'm gonna gloat about the fact that I'm self aware. Right. Yeah, right. Well yeah, just having fun with it, guys. We're just having fun. This is fun. But it's gonna get dirty. It's gonna get so dirty. And Timmy, did I not say after the as I gloat after the memo of understanding was done at H C, I said, Yeah. See, I'm getting gloating so much and my camera's falling
off. Already. Yeah. Already happening.
Yeah. Um That's the the s the ghost of stew is getting me again. Uh then I just and I said, This is gonna this is gonna be the ugly part. This is where the sausage is made. And it it it's just gonna get political and it's gonna get ugly. And boy I honestly I didn't even see it getting this ugly. And and I'm gonna tell ya, uh the funny thing about it right now, with the Glazers jumping hit in here at the eleventh hour, is you've got a lot of factions in this town that that uh You know, may or may not like the way the Glazers handled things. Well, most of 'em don't. In the very beginning when they first got here, that that stadium debacle debacle. There's clearly still a lot of lingering feelings about that.
And uh d with the Rays folks coming in and and them doing their ask. It's just there's a lot of politics in it. Who was it? Was it was it uh Teddy Roosevelt or somebody fr famously said, uh politics makes strange bedfellows. Yeah. There are there are strange alliances that have to form because of politics and and now we're seeing it happen. Uh like behind the scenes people that are really rich. Really good friends are now stabbing each other in the back, trying to kill deals. Um it it's it's it ca you know why? 'Cause there's big money involved. And when big money gets involved, bro. Friendship goes right out the door for a lot of people. Yeah. Um, I I've never lived in that big money world. Don't want it, don't want to.
But I and I as I see it and and it's see most successful people are cutthroat mofos. How they get their money. Yeah. I've never I've never felt that way. Uh I've never been that way. But uh which is why I'm not a rich mofo.
Getting there.
I'm not saying all all rich people are that way. I mean, that's that's not what I'm saying. I'm not saying they're bad people. I'm just saying There's a reason they're rich because they're willing to do things that um, you know, they're tough people. They're tough people and then negotiate tough. And and a lot of times that's what it takes to get big things done. So again, not casting any aspersions on anyone, because you gotta break you gotta break some knees and ankles to get big stuff done. There ain't no doubt about that. That, you know, are for the greater community good. So I totally get that. But I'm just saying, it's getting dirty. It is getting dirty. It could get worse before it gets better. And I'm here for it.
We're here for it. And we're gonna try to break all of it down today. Um and I I've got so many notes on my sheet and so many things that we gotta get to because it's it's so like It's almost overwhelming. And now that the Bucs at the eleventh hour have thrown their hat in the ring. Yeah, I got a shout out to my my boy uh Devin Garnett. Um I did a little video this morning on his way to work excoriating the Glazers for coming in at this late moment, right as the Rays are about to do something transformational for the community.
