Alright, you guys are in for a treat today, no question about it. JP Peterson here riding solo. That's right, my man Tim Ham, um sending out some healing prayers to IndyCar Tim. Texted me last night, said, uh, I'm headed over to the hospital, so we might not uh be able to I might not be able to be on the show tomorrow. So he is not here this morning, but we're lifting up the the healing vibe and all the prayers to Timmy, so Prayer's up for Timmy. Um he he He did text me this morning. I'm I'm guessing from the hospital because he had to give me a code so I could produce this show myself. So um I will definitely Be leaning on all my peeps, all my Petermans out there to let me know if the show is actually going out live and I'm diff and I've pressed all the right buttons.
As we do. Oh, it looks like we're live on Twitter. So so far so good. So far so and I have a live studio guest who we will unveil here in just a moment a man. Who was at the center? Of Probably one of the greatest uh aspects of the outdoor hockey game. John Cooper's getup and the uh and the rest of the coaches as well uh were absolutely regaled in these beautiful suits. So we'll get all the story. behind that stuff uh for you here in just a little bit. But we got a lot of breaking news to get to. Um actually the news broke yesterday on the raise and the stadium financing plan. But luckily for most of you Petermans, you already knew most of this stuff because we've been talking about it for months and months on how they're going to finance uh this stadium.
So we'll get to that in just a little bit. Uh Brian Bradley will join us live. Hopefully, Lord willing, and the creek don't rise and all the technology works from Benchmark International Arena as the lightning get back to reality. I guess we could say, right? Uh after what just I don't know about you guys, but I'm still buzzing from that outdoor game on Sunday. Um, it's just it won't leave me for for quite some time. But we got to do another hockey game tonight, and that is at benchmark with uh the Buffalo Sabres in town. So another big key Atlantic division collision for the Lightning who have to somehow now uh refocus on hockey after what really was one of the most incredible sporting events in the history of Tampa Bay.
I might put it right at the top of the list. Maybe a little recency bias, maybe a little personal bias, uh haven't been part of it, a very small part of it. But Um Yeah, so we'll do some hockey talk as well and then the coup de gras, the coup de gras. If uh all things work technology wise, can uh Hagan's gonna join us at as well. And uh they are right now at the governor's press conference, which is set to start at ten o'clock. Uh right not far from where probably about a half a mile from where we are right now, the future site of the Rays baseball stadium, Lord willing again. And the mayor, I'm sorry, the yeah, the mayor will be there as well and might speak. Jane Castor, but also the governor, Ron DeSantis, is in town.
The story we broke two weeks ago about this particular press conference, a lot of it's gonna center around Hillsborough College. And, you know, I feel sorry for the Hillsborough College because this is supposed to be a press conference about their bold new beginnings on this site, and all anybody wants to talk. Is the raise. But it's all part of it. And it's all a a a great part of it because, you know, so much of this project is going to be positive for Tampa Bay. And I hope this is kind of the start of a very positive vibe towards this project because everything to this point has been really, really negative. And I don't get it. Um, I I just well I kind of get it. I understand so much of it is driven by the negative coverage that has been in the Tampa Bay Times nonstop since the new group took over.
