All right, welcome into a Fabulous floppy hat football Friday. I think I got a little John McKay working today. I don't know about you know, I'm watching his fiftieth anniversary. Then I got the got the black glasses on. We're coming to you live from our Orlando satellite studio. where I have been uh convalescing after my back surgery uh Wednesday morning at Biospine. Big thanks to uh Dr. Frank Bono and Maureen and Jen and Ted and all the people that took care of me. So I sit here uh getting ready to talk some football with you people. Um Heavily medicated. Ooh, nice. I kid, I would never do that. I would never go on the air having taken medicine. Why not? I wouldn't do that. Well it's it's un it's unethical, of course.
I would never do that. Make me much smarter than I actually am, actually am and probably make a much better show, but I would never do that. Um how are you, IndyCar Tim? How you doing, partner?
I'm doing well, JP. I'll admit on Wednesday Johnny and I were a little worried about you going into your surgery. We were trying to d determine if you were having your bionic spine implant um installed or if you were finally addressing the the mouth sores that you've been dealing with for thirty years. We d w we weren't sure what was happening.
I I got I got a little uh most of it was are you going in for the penile implant? Yeah. Um you know, the it's a little tired, but um obviously a favorite of most of the men out there. Um but those of you who know my lovely wife Ashley, you would know that I'm good. So It was uh but she's I by the shout out to my lovely wife, Ashley, who has been taking care of me like you would not believe. I mean, I might have surgery every week if this is the treatment I'm gonna get. I'm gonna I'm gonna need to find some more surgeries to have. Yeah,
I saw the breakfast. I'm totally jealous.
Yeah, yeah. We have breakfast and coffee uh delivered this morning, of course. Yeah, so uh and and by the way, thanks for all the well wishes. I've gotten a ton of 'em on on uh all over social media. Really humbling every time and I really appreciate everybody sending the well wishes and and um yeah, and this is what, three days, two days post op. I feel great, very little pain. Um I'm getting feeling back in my left leg down to my toes. So yeah, very much looking forward to a a pain-free back that I haven't had for probably about a year and a half now and getting some feeling back. So we'll keep we'll keep you updated on my progress. Wow. But yeah, it's already, you know, I've my two toes of my left side have been numb for quite some time.
And I've probably got 50% improvement in those already. Just in terms of back pain, I'm I'm sore from the incision But the back pain that was being caused, you know, down my left leg and and into my hamstrings and the lower back is completely gone. So it's um yeah, highly recommended. Highly recommended. But anyway, that's not why you guys are here. You're here to hear uh talk about football and Tell me. Man, do we have a weekend of football this weekend? Are you kidding me? This how excited are you for your Aggies to be playing in the college football playoff in the morning and uh which is kind of weird. Kick time, eleven AM at uh Kyle Field. Yep. Um against uh the mighty Miami hurricanes. Who I think are are really well equipped physically and talent-wise to win this national championship.
When you look across the board at these other teams, I think they're, you know, they're great on both lines of scrimmage, which is what you need to win a national championship. They have the best two edge rusher uh tandem in the league by uh by far, are arguably top five offensive line. Um you've got an experienced playoff quarterback in Carson. And Beck, uh, a local kid from Armwood, George Pringle Jr., who's kind of taken over for Mark Fletcher on the ground game and has been fantastic.
