Okay, my first take is very simple. And and it comes with uh some background as well. But the take itself is this Quinn Hughes is the best acquisition ever made in a season by a Minnesota sports team, particularly the four major men's teams in town. So we're talking about in season two. So tons of trades. in season. We're talking about the Vikings. We're talking about the Twins. We're talking about the Wolves. Quinn Hughes acquired in December, who scored a uh a crazy goal to win the uh game and put the US men in the semifinals of the hockey tournament in the Olympics. Um he is I knew he was really good. But watching that dude, the most uh impressive thing that I can say, Phil, is this. Watching him play last night or yesterday afternoon and watching that goal.
Having seen him a ton now on a day to day basis, as dynamic as that performance was against top talent, it didn't surprise me. He's that good that it didn't sh it did not surprise me. So I say it is the best trade ever made. I can give you some examples. I can give you some candidates, okay? Because I went through But

And and just as a um just as some background to this, he is averaging in his 26 games since being traded to the wild, he is averaging 28 minutes and eighteen seconds per game. He is playing nearly half the game all the time.
That's insane. That is I I feel like I mean, def defensemen sometimes push it more than forwards, like statistically right, in terms of ice time. Very much so. Yes. Um I just for Just for uh comparison sake here, I pulled this up on He is number one in the NHL this season in average ice time per game by almost two minutes over the second place that uh defenseman or any player. Not cutting goalies, obviously.
So check that out. That includes his time in Vancouver, which is lower than what he's playing. So he actually is above that twenty eight minutes plus per game since being traded here in December. Like
Like Faber is top ten in average ice time as well, but it's several minutes less per game than Quinn Hughes. Mm-hmm. So he's a he's a cardio machine, he's a distribution machine, he's one of the best skaters at that position. And
