Again, outstanding service, outstanding menu, outstanding drinks, and an outstanding time. A great place to stop before A wild game. And speaking of, I'm sure there were some folks that made their way to parlor last night. And that was the highlight of their night, A.J. Fredrickson. No kidding. 6-2 loss to the Jets. It felt, if it's possible, worse than that.
They have now lost their last two home games. 5-2, a clunker against the Devils. Then again, last night. Interestingly enough, Jesper Volstead started both games. They are now 1-3-2, the Wilders, in their past six. This homestand, which is now concluded 0-2-1. You were with family in the stands last night. So I want to hear your thoughts.

Chapter 2: What were the main highlights of the Wild's loss to the Jets?
And then the kindling that was starting the blaze, just whoosh, Mark Shifley, Josh Morrissey, all these guys just put it out with a damp towel and the fire was never started. It was, it was a small little flicker of a flame at most. And, uh, yeah, the wild, it was, what, what is just a bad showing? Um, I, I don't know if this is considered a slump.
I don't know if this is considered just poor effort. And I think it's probably a combination of both. Um, but the two things that I take away are one Jesper Wallstedt over his last, I think four starts has really not been that great, but it's also in, it's also factual to say the play in front of him last night was nowhere near what should be expected of this team either. Um,
the goal by Logan Stanley. Yes, he should stop. But also I think it's fair to say that Marcus Foligno shouldn't jump the zone and try to go on an odd man rush the other way. He should focus on getting the puck out because if you just clear the zone there, that goal never happens. The icing at the end of the period, there's five seconds left fourth line.
Why are you, why are you icing the puck there? And then, Oh, that was by hunt. That was a terrible decision. And then why, and then the, the effort on the face off, you lost that as, as clean as, you know, a new pair of underwear. Like what, what on earth are you doing? Um, and then he didn't seem, uh, yes, we're all said, didn't see Morrissey shot. It beats him over the shoulder. Yeah.
It's it's a part and parcel to both things can be correct. But also, I don't I do want to say I don't think that this is like a yes for Wallstead is terrible. He's had some bad games the past couple of outings. But my my nervousness here is now back to back shellings against the young kid. for a guy that we know is an overthinker.
And after last season, has he evolved to where he can really push this out of his mind and get back to the goalie, even close to the goalie that we saw a month ago?
Yeah, he is 2-3-2 in his past seven starts. His goals against his, in those seven starts, is 3.98. His save percentage is atrocious, 87.1. Yeah. And in the last, again, he, so he started back-to-back games. Now, he didn't play the third period, right? He started against the Devils. Yes. And then he started again.
So they must have brought him back thinking, well, he didn't play well against the Devils. I honestly thought that the Devils game I didn't blame him for much as far as the goals. Now, he gave up five. It wasn't great, but I didn't blame him for much. Last night, I charted at least three goals that I thought were his for terrible. Like, you got to stop that puck.
And, yeah, the Logan Stanley shot should have been ā The details of Foligno flying the zone without the puck is really, really bad. But at the end of the day, that puck has to be stopped. I charted a couple more. Oh, the rebound. Now, I think it was the first goal by the Jets or the second goal? I think the one you're thinking of is the second one. It was the second goal. Tanner Pearson.

Chapter 3: What is the current concern level for Jesper Wallstedt?
In the third period, I was staring at him every shift, and I was like... Even then you're still like very transparent. I, I, I, I was not thrilled. Here's something else too.
Off of that. I'm curious to hear your response. Do you find that he is, and not completely, so I'm not trying to say he's not moving, do you find he is more stationary than he used to be? Like, I just go back to the times, especially in his own zone, where he would take the puck, or in the offensive zone, he would take the puck and do his whirl around the net and look for options.
And, you know, he's got that high slot shot that's so, he's probably next to Quinn Hughes, Or heck, it might be more. But I mean, he's got that shot that is a seeing eye shot because he can find lanes to get that shot through.
And I just feel like in watching him of late, I think one of the reasons why I don't pick up on on him as much as he is playing much more within the confines of where he either is told to be or thinks he should be. And so his presence diminishes, which I don't want to do. Now, I think part of it is Quinn Hughes likes to do the same thing. But this is Kirill Kaprizov we're talking about, too.
It just doesn't feel like if you were to look at where he is, a tracker on the ice constantly, that in the offensive zone, when they set up that he is ā that he is moving himself around. And, and that's where I think he is at his best because he's so dangerous from a multiple, from multiple areas, not just one.
I think the best way to describe it is he, he doesn't insert himself in the play as much as he used to. But now you see him trying to let the play come to him, which granted for a guy of his skill, like I expect the play to come to him, but it's not a, it's not the constantly forcing himself into the play. And like you said, pretty much saying like, notice me, look at, look at me. I'm here.
You're getting, you're not getting this like Bob and weave back out where he's kind of like, maybe there's a scrum on the wall or there's, you know, whatever he, he's like a piston going down and up and like trying to, to constantly change his angle. And if there's like a man on man situation, he's creating space. Now it's more of the,
Frankly, it's more of the Ovechkin power play where it's just I'm going to kind of stand in this area. And then I know my team's going to get it to me eventually. And when I get the puck, then it's like on me to to be deadly and do the stuff that I do. But in the meantime, I'm going to conserve my energy.
And granted, maybe maybe a season or two ago where it's like they're trying to play him 25 minutes a night. I would be more in favor of this. But now I almost think you don't need that. Like last night, he played just a tick over 20 minutes. you should be going back and doing that thing. And that's where my eyes tell me, I still think he's doing a lot of the stuff normally.
