This is amazing. Right after today's Daily Tech Update, I'm going to play for you a great clip from my nationally syndicated radio show. It's called, I know, The Kim Commander Show. Funny how that works. And hey, if you're not subscribed to it wherever you get your podcasts, what are you doing? You're missing out. You need this intel to live in today's world.
By this time, all adults, especially parents, who fail to understand the obvious harmful effects that social media puts on their children are simply avoiding reality. This is why the state of Virginia is attempting to do what so many parents simply won't. I'm Kim Commando for LinkedIn. A great hire can change everything.
LinkedIn's AI Assistant filters applicants, showing you the top matches fast. Post your job for free at LinkedIn.com slash Kim. The governor and the legislature of Virginia believe social media on young people is the root of a growing mental health crisis.
Anxiety, depression, hostility, a lack of empathy, and a host of other discoveries are clearly traceable to the amount of time spent on social media. Two weeks ago on January 1st, Virginians' new law restricting teens under the age of 16 to one hour a day on social media went into full effect. This has nothing to do with the First Amendment, but everything to do with our kids.
This one is worth watching. Sign up for my five-star rated newsletter right now. It's free at GetKim.com. And now, as promised, drumroll please. Okay, that was pretty lame. Chapter 2: What are the harmful effects of social media on children?
So you put Grok in spicy mode. But it shouldn't ever cross that line when it comes to minors. Never, ever, ever. Elon hasn't stopped it. This is not about free speech. It's about a billionaire deciding that child safety guidelines don't apply to his products. If they wanted to make this stop, they could.
I tried to take a picture of my own daughter and turn it into like a color page that she could color in. And it said he couldn't because she was under the age. But you weren't on Grok. No, that was on Chance UPT. Yeah. Okay. Go, Elon, call them, see what they're doing and just copy paste.
That's it. That's all you need to do. So Meta came out with something called the Neural Band. It's a wristband that reads tiny muscle movements in your wrist.
So what this means is that when you're wearing your Ray-Ban meta glasses and you want to write something, is that you can write messages on any surface with your finger, on a table, on your legs, whatever it may be, because finger writing on your thigh, if you think about that, you just see somebody finger writing on their thigh, what you'd think like they're doing like spells or something.
who's that crazy person over there they're just sending a facebook message to a group that's it uh the ai bartender break reels r1 will mix custom cocktails based on your mood tell it you're stressed and it will make you a special drink in about a minute twelve hundred dollars is it a robot does it have a face is it gonna talk to me no it's just a mission just a machine oh okay not vitamin
Is it wrong that when you said a new invention from our device from Meta and I immediately didn't want it because I don't trust them? Is that bad? No, because they're not a good outfit. I just don't trust anything they do. Anything they put out there, I think it's for them to try and suck my life force out of me.

Which they do.
Right.
I won't get the glasses. I won't get this band. I'm not going to be writing on my back.
