Today, Apple turns 50 years old.
This is not a national holiday, but it matters because two products change literally everything. In 50 years, nothing Apple made hit harder than the iPod and the iPhone. The iPod killed the record store. No more CDs, no more store shelves. Artists went straight to you. The iPhone finished the job.
Chapter 2: What breakthrough technology is set to replace lithium-ion batteries by 2026?
And think about what it replaced. Pagers, cameras, film, GPSs, calculators, alarm clocks, even flashlights. In many cases, your laptop too. It even made the iPod obsolete. No other company has touched your daily life on so many levels. 50 years, two products. That's the whole story. And something tells me they're not done yet, as they have their sights on AI glasses.

Chapter 4: What alternatives to lithium-ion batteries are currently being explored?
Yes.
I do. I let go. The reason for my call is I'm looking to try to retrieve photos from backups of my previous last three iPhones I backed up onto my old laptop. And I have an iPhone 12 now. But I'm looking to retrieve photographs of my son who we lost earlier this year. Don, I'm so sorry. Thank you. Appreciate it. It's been pretty tough. We're doing all right.
But, you know, there are no new photos of him now. So any that I could retrieve that I knew I had some in those old phones would be just wonderful. But I'm just baffled as to how to get to them, you know, how hard it is to get to iPhone stuff.
So you backed him up. These are old phones. So you're using iTunes, right?
Right? Yes.

Chapter 5: How can we safely dispose of lithium-ion batteries?
Yes. Okay. What kind of laptop is it?
It's a, I think it's an HP, and it's running 8.1, but I also have everything backed up to a Seagate backup drive also.
Okay. All right. I can't tell you the name of the folder on the radio. And we're in a podcast because you would not be able to write it down, okay? Because it's like user, app data, roaming, Apple, mobile sync, backup, you know. So what we're going to do is I'm going to ask, I think, Maddie's call screen. I'm not sure who's call screen or Amber's or Anne-Marie maybe call screen. I'm not sure.
There's so many wonderful people. Okay. to send you the backup location for you to look. Now, or you can get inside Windows File Explorer and you can search for MobileSync, M-O-B-I-L-E-S-Y-N-C, MobileSync. Okay. The other thing that you can do is to use the program that can try to find photos on your PC that have been backed up. Programs like iExplorer, Dr. Phone, iAmazing.
Chapter 6: What innovations in battery technology are on the horizon?
And so the whole idea is that it's going to go on the hard drive and look for any type of photos. That mobile sync that I mentioned, that's where you're going to find the backup.
Okay?
Of the photos that you use with iTunes with the old photos. But you need a third-party tool to get those photos out. And that's where iAmazing, Dr. Phone, or iExplorer comes in. All right? Okay. You can also, you know, look for any type of photo libraries. I'm sure you've already done that.
But I think just that would be the best cases just for you to find those folders and then to use a program to extract those photos out of there. You know, with your son, you may be able to, you know, look on ā I don't know if you've done this, just throwing it out there. If he had a Google Photos account ā Maybe there's something there, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Messenger, WhatsApp.
Luckily, I was able to access all of his tech, and I found a lot of photographs that way. But I've kind of drained that well. I've gotten everything off of there I can. So this is my last resort. And I did find those files. I drilled down.

Chapter 7: How do battery fires occur and what can be done to prevent them?
find my computer. But of course, you know, they won't, they won't reveal them to me. It's sort of like, that's why they're okay.
So you did. Okay, so you did find it. That's fabulous. Okay, so now we just need to use the right tool to pull those photos out of it. And then from that, you'll have pictures of your son. You know, it's, It's not easy, but I'm so glad that just now you found the folder, right? I mean, so now we're like ā we're going down the right path, okay? We're going to find these photos.
Again, I'm so sorry that you're having to go through this. If you have any trouble using these tools ā Don, I want you to call me back. Okay. I have a wonderful IT team, and I think everybody needs to have an IT genius. Everybody does. If you have trouble doing this, I don't want you to get frustrated in this situation because it's hard enough.
This is so kind of you.
Chapter 8: What is the future of energy storage beyond lithium-ion technology?
I really appreciate your help.
Well, it's important. It's important, Don. It's important that we help one another. And someday you'll pay it forward to somebody else. I know you will.
Yes, ma'am. Thank you.
Thank you so much. But right now you're in a situation where I can help you and I want to help you. So I'm glad that you found the folder while we were talking. And then we're going to send you out to Tools, iAmazing, Dr. Phone, iExplorer. Those are the three that we want to look at. And if you have any trouble whatsoever, Don, You just call us. Call me back, okay?
I'm going to give you my personal number and email, and I'm going to pray for you and your family, Don. I will. Hey, if you love staying tech ahead, then you're going to love, love, love.
