Chapter 1: What does the latest study reveal about AI's impact on jobs?
Anthropic, makers of Claude AI, have published a landmark study on what AI is actually doing to jobs right now. Not the hype, just the data. Here's what matters. AI can already do most of what salespeople, teachers, and analysts do every single day, but it's only doing a fraction of that in real workplaces right now. That gap is the only reason why most people still have their jobs.
Workers between the ages of 22 and 25 entering those fields, hiring is down 14%, since 2022. The bottom rung of the ladder is disappearing. So open ChatGBT, Claude, Grok, or Gemini this week. Use it for one real task you get paid to do.
Chapter 2: Why are most workers still employed despite AI advancements?
Learn it now, because the workers who don't, they're not getting fired. They're not getting rehired. And get AI smart for free right now with my newsletter, splashofai.com. And now a clip from my weekend show, The Kim Commando Show. It's pretty much the best radio show in the world, but I may be just a little biased. Sit back and enjoy.
The other day, I had a chance to sit down with Craig Dubinsky, the CEO of Happy Products. He's built some of the biggest brands in personal care. So when a guy like that tells me a piece of software saved his company, I listen. Here's what he told me.
Chapter 3: How is hiring being affected for young professionals in AI-related fields?
So you mentioned that NetSuite saved your bacon. What happened there?
Well, our last business, Hello, which was, it's an oral care company. Hello grew and became the fastest selling, fastest growing oral care brand in North America. We were growing so fast that we literally broke another well-known financial platform software. So we made the switch.
If your revenues are at least seven figures, get NetSuite's free business guide, Demystifying AI Right Now, at netsuite.com slash kim.
The guide is free to you at netsuite.com slash kim. That's netsuite.com slash kim. I think we should go on vacation together, Andrew.
Chapter 4: What practical steps can workers take to adapt to AI in the workplace?
We've never done that. No! Where do you want to go? Anguilla. Where the heck is that? It's a tiny Caribbean island. 15,000 people live there. They have literally struck gold because back in the 1990s, before artificial intelligence became even a flittering thought on any of our minds, is that they were bestowed upon them the domain, instead of a .com, a .net, a .ai. Wait a minute.
There's an organization that just... bestows people it's the internet corporation of assigned names and numbers do they have to pay for it or they're just saying okay this country gets this one this country gets that exactly okay dot uk whatever it may be uh and they are just making a killing 70 million dollars a year Okay. They charge $140 per domain. Okay.
Just to put that in perspective, if you want a crappy.com, that doesn't mean anything. It's probably like $10 a year. And that's for crappy.com if I wanted that? No, because that's probably like a gazillion dollars a year. The domain u.ai sold for $700,000. Y-O-U.ai?
Chapter 5: How did a successful CEO leverage AI for business growth?
Okay. Last week, 31expired.ai domain went for $1.2 million. $1.2 million.
Let's be honest, though. This is a waste of money. When's the last time you went up to your address bar and you typed out www.anything.anything? You don't do that. When you go to a website, you either have it bookmarked or you're going through Google.
I bought some AI domains the other week.
Did you?
A couple weeks ago. Not going to tell you what they're for, except that I'm putting out the whole new AI initiative with the company. Okay. So I thought that we needed to have a .ai domain. Did you buy kimcommando.ai? I'm not going to tell you what I bought. Well, I'll just look it up. It's a secret. Now, think about this. That tiny Caribbean island could have been given .ag for agriculture.
That wouldn't have been as profitable. Nope, dodged the bullet. Finally, finally, finally, finally, scientists have solved a problem that really makes a difference. In a hidden bunker in an undisclosed location, this elite team of researchers, they have finally ignored climate change and focused on what really matters. Are you ready? I hope you're sitting down for this.
Yeah, it's a French fry box with a built-in ketchup holder. I know. Oh, yes. The Heinz Dipper has a pull-out tray that holds your sauce like a tiny throne. No more balancing packets on your lap. No more dipping fries into a puddle on a napkin like a caveman. Heinz is actually testing it all around the world. Yes, the sauce-stained car seat industry is reportedly nervous.
And big napkins, they are hiring lobbyists left and right. Hey, if you love staying tech ahead, then you're going to love, love, love. I'm talking about my free newsletter called The Current. Join almost a million folks who get it every single day. It's quick, smart, and only takes five minutes a day. Yes. Sign up right now at GetKim.com. That's GetKim.com.
