Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Recruitment for Arknights Enfield Beta Test 2 has officially begun. Head to enfield.griffline.com and complete the recruitment survey for a chance to join Beta Test 2 when it starts on November 28th.
On the nerdy news you need to know about, we have our first look at the movie versions of Link and Zelda. Krafton, CEO, allegedly used chat GPT to fire Subnautica devs, and Resident Evil Requiem shouldn't have any issues on PC. Plus, Paris Lily is here. We'll have all that and more because this is Kinda Funny Games Daily. What up, doe?
Welcome in to today's Kind of Funny Games Daily for Tuesday, November 18th, 2025. I'm one of your show hosts, Snowbike Mike, and today I am joined by one of my favorites, my main man, one of my gaming dads, and the ultimate dude in the video game world, Mr. Paris Lilly. Paris, what up, homie? How are you?
What is up, homie? I have to say, whenever we get together, it's a great time, but...
Chapter 2: What is the latest news about the Legend of Zelda movie?
We need Gary. Where's Gary?
We need Gary. Where's Gary on this lovely Tuesday? One can only guess and think about the kind of situations Gary's in right now. I'm sure it's something fun.
Chapter 3: How did Krafton's CEO allegedly use AI in a controversial decision?
Paris, how are you doing, man? Happy soon-to-be holidays. We're kind of almost there. You can pretty much say we're there for the holiday season, but happy holidays to you and the family. How are you feeling?
No, good, good. Happy holidays to you. I mean, Thanksgiving is next week, right? Am I tripping? It's crazy. Time is flying.
You're almost there, Parrish. That's right. You and the family hopefully got some time together ready to rock and roll. But most importantly, we get some time together to talk about the video game news. And we got a lot of stories, but parents, you also did miss out yesterday. We did go through the game awards nominees for the big show, uh, for the TGAs with Jeff Keighley.
Did you have any, uh, once you want to call out maybe some snubs, maybe some big wins, some flowers that were deserved. Talk to me.
Uh,
I thought the nominations were pretty spot on across the board. Nothing really stuck out to me except one thing. I do have one snub that I want to publicly address. And Andy touched on this game a little bit yesterday because I know he's been jumping and playing it and loving it. But it's the alters. And, you know, we go back a couple of years, you and I, with the alters.
We saw that partner preview. I picked it in the fantasy critic draft. I love the game. The fact that Alex Jordan did not get nominated for playing 11 characters in that game. I was I was honestly shocked. I was very shocked. And that has nothing against anyone else that was nominated because anyone that wins deserves it. All those performances are great.
But I just thought he deserved that public recognition of getting nominated for pulling that off. Because, again, if you play the alters, him playing 11 different versions of Jan, if no one told you that one guy did it. You'd be shocked. Like, really? One guy did this because that was how distinct all those performances were.
So that would probably be my only thing that stood out to me when I saw it. Other than that, everything seemed pretty spot on. Like I said, Expedition 33 is probably going to win everything, but you will obviously see in December. But yeah, I thought the nominations look good.

Chapter 4: What are the implications of the Legend of Zelda movie for the gaming community?
sprawling experience, then maybe I might think twice about it. But I actually never thought that we would be talking about this. But I'm glad to hear that the team is feeling confident with what they're doing. You know, of course, PC players have a lot of different specs. They want the very best out of their machines. And clearly, Monster Hunter Wilds didn't hit that.
So they're asking the team if they have that better than lockdown for sure.
Well, I look at it this way because I do think this conversation goes beyond just this game and what they're talking about. If you look at obviously what Valve announced last week, we know what Microsoft and Xbox is attempting to do. You heard what the Take-Two CEO said yesterday.
More and more people are starting to shift towards PC and development is starting to shift towards PC being the priority first. If that's the case, you can't have these issues because PC is such a wide range of different levels of performance, depending on the processor. You have the GPU that you have memory like they have to account for so many different things on the PC side that
You can't release broken games. We've already seen the result of this right across console and even PC. What happens when you release a buggy broken game? So QA is going to be even more important as we tend to skew towards towards this this side of gaming hardware with PC versus what they're able to do on console where. You know, all right, it's a PlayStation. It's an Xbox.
Here are the specs of it. We can make the game for this. And it is what it is. Whereas PC, like I said, you're going to have so many more variables to account for. So we'll see, because this will continue to be a thing moving forward, not just for this game, but for multiple games. And clearly, you know, when just bring an Xbox into this, all their games are going to be day and date on PC.
So even on their side, they absolutely have to account for this, because like I said, you
can't have these broken pc games paris you've seen it are you excited for this game yes i played it i played it and i'm very excited for it i'm not a resident evil guy and i i loved what i got to play when i was at gamescom so yeah i'm absolutely looking forward to this here's another one to be excited for story number four game informer is coming to newsstands this comes from matt miller at game informer

Chapter 5: How does the discussion around Link's character development evolve?
You think Sony would stop this? Let them play. Let them have some fun.
I think they kind of I get it. Look, it sucks that they did. But I understand why they did it. You know what I mean? That's an IP that they still own. They obviously have completely canceled it, refunded people money, all these things. So, no, they don't want people going rogue just using their IP. You know, well, I get it.
From Nintendo, statues of friendly faces from Donkey Kong 64 are yours for the taking in the Donkey Kong Bonanza Emerald Rush show. So stay strong. It's funny. So strong, it's funny event starting November 25th. There's a fun tweet with that, of course. If you love Donkey Kong 64, you'll instantly know who these statues and friendly faces are.
Coming to Game Pass November 19th, Moonlighter 2, The Endless Vault, pair, so are you excited about this one?
Oh, heck yeah. I know you guys did the review yesterday, and I played it as well. I love that game. I think it's great. It's fantastic, and the fact that it's on Game Pass, go check it out. I think you'll really like it.
November 20th, Monsters Are Coming Rock and Road, The Crew Motor Fest on November 25th You have Banisher's Ghost of New Eden and Kill It With Fire 2. Andy Cortez is a voice actor, I believe, in Kill It With Fire 2. So go check him out in that. Give him some love. On December 1st, a big one coming to Game Pass, Marvel Cosmic Invasion.
Yeah, I didn't know that either. And heck yeah, I got to play that at Summer Game Fest. I can't wait for that game. It's going to be awesome.
December 2nd, Lost Records Bloom and Rage. And then for premium on November 19th. Premium, Paris. Uh-oh. We got to have a whole X-Cast topic. Now we're separating Game Pass with Premium and this. Oh, Paris, we've lost our way. We've lost our way. We had it so good. And now we got separate lines on this. Premium will have Revenge of the Savage Planet. And Curl... Kalubra and the Souls of Limbo.
I've never heard of that one. That's tough, Paris. That's too bad. Yeah. Let's go to the next one. Where Winds Meet surpassed 2 million players in 24 hours. Have you heard about this one?
