Chapter 2: What new updates are there about the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake?
Internet 2. Yeah. Very exciting. Golly. How are you doing this morning, Bless?
I'm doing good. I'm tired. Yeah. At a late night last night, me and the homies went to get hot pot. Oh, okay. It was great. It was at a spot in Oakland called Moo Moo Pot, I believe is what it was called. Fire. Absolutely great. And then after you eat that, you're like, I got quite the trek back.
oh my god dude we got out at like 10 p.m and i left my stuff at their place because we were like oh when we finish hot pot we'll have time to go back and play magic the gathering or whatever and then we get back and i'm like guys i got work tomorrow i gotta go i like i don't live here like i gotta go somewhere um and so just got back super late last night didn't wake up early this morning to go to the gym it's everything's kind of starting slow for me this morning but i'm getting there how are you doing
I see your shirt, and it says Hot Boys, and all I can think about is how we done boys. We done boys. I saw you tweet that the other day. We done boys. Was that last night? Yeah. What happened? Cowboys are losing 21-0 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Things couldn't be worse in my life. Wow. Close to ending it all. But we them boys? 21-7 happens. I'm like, oh, okay.
But they're going to do the Dallas Cowboys thing. 21-14, suddenly I'm like, oh, shit, don't do this. Don't do it. Don't get my hopes up. 21-21. No shot. And they are grasping defeat from the clutches of victory. Blessing. Oh, my God. The amount of... It was just an... Cowboys win 21-24. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Come on.
Man, dude. Congratulations. And it was like... It's a season saver. Yeah. Like... We needed this. If you lose this, you do not make the playoffs. Wow. Still a good chance they don't. But, like, really, really needed this one. And it was... Oh my gosh.

Chapter 4: How is the creator of Persona envisioning JRPG 3.0?
And I know how everybody feels about Sands of Time. It's one of people's favorites, like video games of all time. Tim always talks about it. But when we first saw this, the first thing I pointed out and a lot of people pointed out was, oh, realistic look. They're not doing this stylized thing anymore.
Yeah.
They're changing it.
Notice how crisp this trailer looks. I know we're just looking at a candle in a pre-rendered fucking animation. Yeah. But, like, this feels intentional as far as, hey, let's re-reveal it, put 2026 on it, and just make a candle look really, really good so they know that it's not going to look like the way we showed them last time.
I also want to call this out, and this is something that needs to get called out, because I really, really applaud... The subtle logo change. Too often nowadays, Bless. Whenever there's an older logo that's a little too... There's too much going on? A little too old in its style. Yeah. And then you always see the crazy overcorrection of, we need to make this just basic, bold font.
Oh, I see.
We're going to modernize the hell out of this. But I love how they still keep the spirit while kind of making the logo look less like a 2005 logo. I love that. Congratulations to Ubisoft.
I want to see the old logo again. Because I look at this, and for me it is... I like the font.
Yeah.

Chapter 5: What tribute did Hideo Kojima pay to Udo Kier?
The juice is not worth the squeeze. People don't love this art style. Either just go forward with it and try to make it as good as possible, or it's going to take how long to redo everything? Four, five, no, never mind.
I'm surprised that part of the conversations from Ubisoft for such a corporate entity wasn't, Hey, if we're making a Splinter Cell, we're making it cheap. Like, give it to Ubisoft India, like, have them, like, give them only a certain amount of budget and be like, yo, get it out the door. For the fact that they were like, ah, shit, all right, people really want this to look good.
You don't want Prince of Persia, right? Yeah, sorry. Prince of Persia, Sands of Time remake. Yeah, the fact that I would think that you would make that cheap as Ubisoft, not as me. I'm like, make an expensive Prince of Persia for people, right? But the fact that they went back to the drawing board, did all that stuff, I'm so fascinated by how this thing looks once it's revealed because...
That's going to be very telling as far as the lengths they went to make this thing a worthy, I don't even know if AAA is the word, but something that surpasses what we saw originally. It's got to look good.
To me, it has to be similar to the way the larger internet and industry feels about Snake Eater Remake.

Chapter 6: Why is Charlie Cox crediting his Game Awards nomination to another actor?
It has to capture the spirit of what the original is gameplay-wise, but it has to look really good visually and impressive and go, oh shit, this is the definitive way to play in 2025 Sands of Time. I no longer have to worry about finding ways to play the old version or whatever. Now it's Now I can see this in glorious 4K and have it up-res and all that jazz.
I want to keep on with the Ubisoft conversation with story number two, Ubisoft hasn't exploded. This is Joshua Wolins at PC Gamer. Last week, Ubisoft delayed its quarterly financial report and called a temporary halt to trading in its stocks. The internet immediately did what it does best, descend into wild and frenzied speculation. To be fair, it did all seem quite portentous. You know that one?
Yeah. Portentous. And in a world where Saudi Arabia bought EA and Microsoft bought Activision, the theories that Ubisoft had itself been acquired or undergone some kind of enormous financial calamity didn't feel totally out there. But stand down, folks.
Ubisoft's delayed financial report took place earlier today, and it turns out all the hullabaloo was per company big boss Yves Gaumont for perhaps the most boring reason imaginable. Quote, we appointed a new panel of auditors that was approved at the annual general meeting last July. End quote.
In essence, UB's new numbers guy decided that revenues from one of his partnerships from the fiscal year before this one needed to be recognized in a different way.

Chapter 7: What insights are shared about Rockstar's recent firings?
The long and short of this process is that the new way of recognizing those revenues meant the company suddenly overshot a covenant on how much net debt to core profit it's meant to maintain, and it had to quickly fork over 286 million euros to pay off some outstanding loans and get the ratio back down.
Which is, I'm sure you will concur, very boring, and not at all as apocalyptic as online profits were forecasting last week. So if Ubisoft hasn't suddenly become someone else's property or vanished into a financial black hole, did anything actually interesting come out of its delayed financial report? Well, we did learn that UB's pretty chuffed with how Assassin's Creed Shadows has gone.
Chuffed is good. Chuffed is good. It sounds bad. It's a good word. The company's earnings report said that the latest AC, plus the rest of the brand's catalog, have been overperforming against expectations, though it's keeping shtum about specific sales numbers.
Shtum means it's a British slang term for silent or quiet. Okay, they're keeping quiet. And they're also proper chuffed, eh?
Can we talk about the British? They're proper chuffed. Why not just say they're keeping quiet? What the fuck do you mean they're keeping a shtum? They're keeping a shtum.
They're teaching us stuff. Shtum. Shtum? You're adding R's there. Portentus? Okay, well, that's not a British term. Yeah, what are y'all doing over there? Eat your beans and bread. And use regular words. Portens is not a British word. That's like a British slang term. It's showing that something in the future may happen.
We're going to get on the tube and have a conversation about this one. The presentation accompanying the report notes Ubisoft's lineup of upcoming games. We've got DLC for Avatar, Rainbow Six Mobile, The Division, Resurgence.
Resurgence. Oh, here the British goes with these words.
They're resurging over there. Frickin' another mobile thing, which is the Division Resurgence and the remake of Prince of Persia The Sands of Time. But included on that list is a blank box marked unannounced title.

Chapter 8: What are the latest updates from the Wii News segment?
Yeah.
Because they also, like, it was four years in between Valhalla, or five years almost. Yeah. uh, in between Valhalla and shadows. So I, I imagine if Hexy is there, what they see is their next big one. I could see it being a couple more years, four years between. That's crazy, dude.
Yeah. And then they also canceled the civil war one. I need to see, I need to, this is what we need to do. I want to do a heist with you. Okay.
Okay.
I want to sneak into the Ubisoft offices. Because I just want to see what was the proposed timeline. Let's talk to him with a mustache. Bonjour. Sacre bleu. Start speaking whatever French I know. And he just shows up as verso. I just want to see whatever calendar they have. Like, Hey, this was our proposed plan. Cause like, I don't understand. Yeah.
Where black flag, Hexie, the civil war one that they were, they were like, ah, we can't have black people killing Nazis. The people will freak out. Like what, when was all this going to happen?
in regular content updates all in what was the uh infinite infinity it's acid screen infinity dunder mifflin infinity yeah you want kevin feige to show up on the to show the board and say like here's our release yes yeah at least count oh dude that might fix ubisoft
he needs kevin feige to come out on stage and be like here are the next 10 years leading up to assassin's creed infinity war that would go so fucking hard and one of them is like assassin's creed hex he goes but we didn't think that name quite fit yeah and then it puts his finger up and it changes to like the witch trials which is crazy dude oh man man take me back to like peak marvel
Peak Marvel time. Peak MCU is maybe the happiest I've ever been in my life.
