Hello and welcome to the King Heroes Journey podcast. My name is Beth Martens and I'm so excited today to be having three amazing souls on the King Heroes Journey. It's really, truly an honor for me. And uh so I would like to just quickly introduce you guys to them before I well, maybe I'll bring them on and and it'll be more fun to introduce them while While they're around and uh I'm still getting my house in order, so let's get this right little thing up there. to signify the King Heroes Journey. The innovators, the groundbreakers, the truth tellers, people that are not afraid to go against the grain in order to grow.
And also teach and be an example of that. So I know we have three great teachers coming on today. Mr. Roy Futureman, this is his second time on the King Heroes Journey um podcast. We had an incredible discussion the first time around. It was uh lit literally left me with all kinds of food for my soul and uh And it was transformational. And I got a good teaching about the truth and telling the truth, which was good. So do go back and have a listen to that. If you like Uh Kerry Dreen Carrie K uh KG Carrie Green is a friend of Roy's who's also interested in the hero's journey, also in his own right, a fabulous musician. Mike Ellers, I've been working closely with, totally honored to do that. He's got a uh fabulous background.
And in filmmaking and acting and acting coaching and now is combining that up. with the work of consciousness through the tradition of uh Gurj if if you're familiar with him or not, we're we're gonna uh no doubt be going into that. I'm gonna go a little bit deeper into the backgrounds of uh these great souls and that's not to blow smoke up your butt, it's just an admiration. It's you guys are definitely a um let's say a good example for others that are maybe wanting to be deeper in a creative space of some kind. So Roy was um born in nineteen fifty seven. He's best known by his name Future Man or Fuch, uh not Fuch, but Fuch.
I know that now. He's uh was the Whammer for Bella Fleck and the Flect Tones and he's also part of the Wooten brothers with the uh the best bassist in the world, Victor Wooten. Roy's the inventor of the drum at our And also developed something called Roy L. You'll see his name there, Roy L. uh be futuristic and I'm gonna I'm gonna mute I'm gonna quickly mute uh yeah while Roy's figuring that out and then we'll bring him back. Into the sound. Uh born in Virginia, Wooten comes from a prominent musical family. So all five brothers, this was a beautiful thing to for me to watch. the relationships around the music that typically I want to go I want to go into this around the culture of the arts in general. And uh you know how how
Roy and his family seem to break all those rules of uh what or not rules, tenancies that are going on in there.
