Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?

0.031 - 21.62 Matt Jones

Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy? Not quite! On Humor Me with Robert Smigel and Friends, me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guests, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an acapella band with their between-songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes.

Those people are starving for banter. Listen to Humor Me with Robert Smigel and friends on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged. It's the Enhanced Games. Some call it grotesque.

Chapter 2: How do comedians enhance banter for performances?

38.304 - 61.457 Unknown

Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth. Listen to Superhuman on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A win is a win.

A win is a win. I don't care what y'all say. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor IV. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.

77.186 - 95.732 Matt Jones

This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. So let's get to it. Listen to The Clifford Show on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok.

On the Look Back At It podcast. 1979, that was a big moment for me. 84 was big to me. I'm Sam Jay. And I'm Alex English.

Chapter 3: What are the Enhanced Games and their implications?

103.31 - 125.736 Sam Jay

Each episode, we pick a year, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors. Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s. 84 was a wild year. It was a wild year. I don't think there's a more important year for black people. Listen to Look Back At It on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Welcome, everyone. It is Kentucky Sports Radio here live at Don Franklin in Corbin, Kentucky, where these four are scared to sit at the front of the room, but you can come on up here and give us a shout on the Clark's Puppet Shop phone line, 859-280-2287, A-Vision Auto Glass Text Machine. 772-774-5254. And this edition is sponsored by the T.J. Smith Law Office.

If you call T.J., he'll make them pay. We are at Don Franklin and Corbin. And I have to say, I forgot yesterday until the last 20 seconds of the show to advertise this show this week. So I came up here and I was like, oh, I forgot to advertise it. We walked in here at the beginning. and it was a small crowd. And then as we get here, they just keep coming in. More of them walking in right now.

199.074 - 210.919 Matt Jones

More of them walking in right now. I need to do a better job advertising because it's great to be here in Corbin, Kentucky. We love it down here in Corbin, yeah. So I think maybe it's just a slow-arriving crowd. They had to go by the – I had to go by and get my morning coffee before the game.

210.939 - 214.567 Drew Franklin

We should have put Ryan out there with a sign, you know, by the road saying KSR is here today.

214.607 - 215.89 Matt Jones

You know what? We could still do that.

215.93 - 216.512 Drew Franklin

Still got time.

Chapter 4: How does Mark Pope's approach impact the team?

905.548 - 920.472 Matt Jones

I mean, there's, you know, guys that went on to better pro careers and maybe players that are a little more beloved. But he's got a pretty big trophy case. And he was close to winning – he was defensive player of the year, but he was in the player of the year conversation too. He was. So, I mean, Willie's high on my list. And you mentioned Ulus.

0

920.572 - 939.18 Matt Jones

I think he's pretty firm in there, too, because the fact that he's five-foot-nothing and won SEC Defensive Player of the Year and Player of the Year in the same season, that alone is all I need to know to put him up there. Would you put Ulus ahead of Meeks? Meeks is a top five scorer in the history of the school. I mean, like, I don't know how you can leave him out.

0

939.2 - 952.536 Matt Jones

No, no, Meeks is definitely – I'm putting in a lot more people, to be honest. At some point we'll have to have the NBA conversation. If Shea retires with three MVPs, you've got to consider that a little bit. It's just a matter of do you focus on – But, I mean, if you just do his accomplishments here, Shea wouldn't be in.

0

952.556 - 952.896 Unknown

No, of course.

0

952.916 - 975.106 Matt Jones

So you kind of have to decide are you going to factor that in. Yeah. I agree. I think out of those three, Shea would probably be my third. If you're going Meeks or Willie – I think I've got to go Meeks. I think there's a case for both those guys. So I'll quickly – I tried to rank them. Now, I ranked 30. I think if I were to do this again, I would make a few changes.

975.326 - 1002.563 Matt Jones

I'd probably put SGA a little higher and Carl Towns a little higher. But here's what I had. 81, Wall 2, Oscar 3, Willie 4. I had Brandon Knight 5. This is all Cal people, so I'm not including Meeks. Euless 6, DeMarcus Cousins 7, Monk 8, Murray 9, Randall 10, MKG 11, Antonio Reeves 12. That's my Cal era to now list.

1003.024 - 1016.601 Matt Jones

Is there anything in there that you would change or anyone you would replace one of my people with? Well, I looked at your list last night, and it's tough. I mean, in my mind, I think De'Aaron Fox probably should be up there. But who are you going to take out? So, would you put De'Aaron Fox ahead of –

1016.969 - 1040.158 Matt Jones

mkg reeves twins terrence jones patrick patterson you put in would you put fox ahead just for what he did in college not not for the pros just for what he did in college he was so that's the thing so these guys are so good you're almost nitpicking when you're comparing each other because i mean fox had a great great uh freshman season but you know they don't make the final four where you have the harrisons who just kept making the final four

1040.375 - 1049.17 Matt Jones

Well, and Patterson, who played three years. Antonio Reeves has more points than anyone on this list in a season except Malik Monk.
