Chapter 1: What is the KSR Golf Scramble and how does it engage listeners?
Hey guys, it's us, the Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it, but you know. Tired and sick. Tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
On Humor Me with Robert Smigel and Friends, we help make you funnier. On this episode, my guests Bob Odenkirk and Kids in the Halls Bruce McCullough try and help the Kazoo Kid and Tazon Day be famous again. What if there's an alternate universe show where you guys are incredibly popular?
Well, and they could travel up the land doing meet and greets. They're constantly needed at malls.
Listen to Humor Me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Chapter 2: What recent health challenges has Ryan Lemon faced?
One hour away. Well, two hours away from the start of the scramble. One hour left in the show. By the way, the U.K. baseball game starts at noon. It'll be on WLAP. So if you're listening on WLAP, the last 15 minutes you're going to have to move over to the ā Card Radio. 790KRD. KRD790 for the last 15 minutes of the show. Everybody, I hope, at home will join me.
I know you guys will in welcoming Viz Tina Eras with us, Ryan Lemon, rejoining us here today after a long surgery that's been going on. Ryan, how are you doing? Hello, Nick Roush. Good to see you guys again.
Been a rough couple weeks, man.
Nick Roush?
You know, I didn't know how to greet you guys. Hello, Nick Roush. Hello, Ryan. All right. Are you doing the Vince Merrow tweet? Yeah. Is that what that is? Okay.
Oh, okay.
Gotcha.
He's been here 15 seconds. I already don't understand what he's talking about. Yes.
How you doing? It's just been a slow recovery, man. I was in the hospital for 11 days, and I went in there for like four days for the prostate cancer surgery. They actually dismissed me.

Chapter 3: How does Ryan Lemon's health journey impact his perspective on life?
Most people in the hospital have never heard of it. But it's like your colon just stops working, just kind of falls asleep after you have like abdominal surgery sometimes. And that's what happens. So once he finally ā same surgeon. You remember him from the McDonald's incident.
I do.
I do remember him, yes. Once he came up with the Ogilvy. I don't know who Ogilvy is. I'm going to kick his ass too. AJ. AJ. He was AJ Ogilvy. That's unfortunate. It was awful.
Okay, but this is the first time you've said that. Are you, I mean, that's a pretty, there's been a very serious diagnosis with the prostate cancer. And so how are things now?
Well, as far as that end goes, I think pretty good. They feel pretty good that they got it all. One doctor told me there's like two kinds of prostate cancer. There's like Bronny James and LeBron James. Bronny James, which most men have. One in eight men, by the way, have prostate cancer. We all know somebody who's going through it or has had it. Most have Bronny James prostate cancer.
Just kind of sits there. Can be dangerous. You got to keep an eye on it.
Did you name it this?
No, one of my doctors did.
One of your doctors named it Brawny James. I don't know if Brawny James wants to have. Mario does not like this analogy. And then what's the other one? LeBron James. Oh, that's one of the greatest of all time.

Chapter 4: What humorous anecdotes does Ryan share about his recovery?
Every one of you guys checked on me.
Now, a lot of people out there, we didn't say what you were dealing with, but a lot of people out there have reached out, and I kind of said to them that you wanted to kind of deal with it privately. Do you feel like you're back out in public life?
This is just my second time out of the house. I went to the doctor a couple days ago. I want to come do this. But, I mean, I'm still wearing a catheter. I mean, I'm still kind of on the disabled list and walking around with a pee bag strapped to my leg. I can show you if you want me to show it to you. No, we're good.
We're good. That's okay. At least wait until the break. You did say to me not that long ago that you're like, I don't want to really go into a lot of details. But now, like... Apparently that's changed.
Listen, I have gone through things. Poor Jennifer. Jennifer has seen things, witnessed things, smelled things, and had to do things. I mean, she went way above the girlfriend pay grade. There's no doubt about it.
She must really like you.
She's been good about updating us, too. She must really like you. And I went through some things that I'm so ā Obviously disgusting. I can't even talk about it.
Well, we don't have to.
We don't have to go into those details. But once you go through some of that, you're like, oh, what the heck. It doesn't matter if you talk about it or not. Let me say this. I'll be serious for one minute. The prostate exam is one of the most uncomfortable things we do as humans. We all know what it is. It's awful. It's uncomfortable. It makes you feel bad.

Chapter 5: What are the implications of the recent NCAA sports legislation?
I've seen probably 100 episodes of Cheers. 50 episodes of Fraser. Have you thought about doing something from the last 30 years? No. When I was in the hospital, I watched a lot of Family Feud. You know, like Steve Harvey.
He's one crazy cat, man. He is. He's always full of stuff. As you know, I mean, literally, thousands of people have reached out. Do you have a message for those folks?
I mean, it's very touching. It's very humbling. I know, like, the ladies of KSR sent me a bunch of get-well cards to the restaurant. You know, everybody preaching out to you guys and checking, Jennifer and checking. So it's very humbling. It touches you. You know, people care that much. about you, and they don't even know you, really. You know, they just hear you talking on the radio.
So it's tough, and hopefully it'll maybe help other people down the road when they have prostate issues like this, you know.
You are, I think it's fair to say, like an emotional person. Has this been kind of an emotional journey for you?
It has. It really messed with my brain, man, and all that. I was in pain, so much pain for like three or four or five days.
You were in a lot of pain. I mean, you've been ā I mean, I talked to you some through that and talked to Jennifer. You were in a whole, whole lot of pain for a long period of time.
Until they diagnosed with this A.J. Ogilvie syndrome, I was, like, in pain. Like, every eight ā the attacks would have happened, like, about every eight hours. And they were just so excruciating. I mean, I've got some awful stories about ā That's okay. I mean, like, one happened when I was in the shower. Okay. Yeah.
I mean, it's okay. Like, we ā

Chapter 6: How do fans perceive the potential changes in college sports?
I don't have to wear long pants hiding my pee bag on my leg everywhere I go. I don't mean to laugh, but he's just not hiding any details.
I'll show it to you. Let me show it to you. We're good. I mean, you can do the show without having to use your language, your pee bag out. I mean, those are mutually exclusive things. Whether you do the show and whether or not pee bags are involved, they don't have to be at the same time. That's true. I'm laughing so hard. I want to say one more thing. I can't tell if he's about to laugh or cry.
I don't know. He hasn't lost his personality. You guys handled the KS Bar closing announcement Wednesday very well. It's kind of sad for all of us. It's kind of tough.
It is tough.
Some of my great memories, I want to thank you, Matt. You had me locked in KSR jail for like seven days. That's true. That was so much fun. My ex-wife really appreciated that at the time. Happened right out here on this green.
It was the day of the golf scramble.
That's right. That's exactly right. I mean, you had Cash Daniel throw me through a table, not once, but twice.
Yes.
Saw that video. Drew posted that the other day. All those great memories I've got of KS Bar. It seems to me you put me through some sort of torture.

And you look good. Keep it up. And we will be here whenever you're ready.
Lost a little weight during all this mess. But I had 20 pounds of fluid on my stomach at one time, 20 pounds. Oh, my goodness. Was that before or after the surgery?
Maybe both. Love you, man. I love you guys too, man. Ryan Lemon, everybody. Let me tell you what. Actually, I don't know if your doctor wants you to do this.
Yeah.
But summer's coming in hot, so cornbread hemp seltzers would be nice. I had a box of cornbread hemp seltzers in my stoop when I went to my house the other day.

Welcome back, it is Kentucky Sports Radio 859-280-2287. Couple open lines, give us a shout. Just so people know a little back story. He had expressed to me that he did not want to share the fact that he had prostate cancer or the fact that he had the bag, all of those things. So we were trying to figure out how do we talk about this and not go into that. And he brought it up within four seconds.
And I'm not sure even he did it intentionally. Shannon and I were talking about it during the break. We don't think he showed up meaning to do that.
I don't think he did.
But he just rolled with it. And then next thing you know ā because, I mean, he was ā like he had said to me before the surgery. He was like, I'm going to have to have this. I'd rather people not know about it. And I said, well, I understand. And I said, we'll do whatever you want. And then it took him seconds, Shannon, to completely ā throw that plan out the door.
It's like he forgot that he had a microphone in front of him and a large audience that was listening. I think there are very, very, very good friends of his that did not know that. I think he literally had told us and his girlfriend and his children, and that's it. And now everyone knows.
Well, I've had several people on YouTube, sure, that know Ryan very well, and I've had to be like, look, I just cannot tell you because he asked me not to. They're like, come on, I know Ryan. I'm like, I'm not. He's being so private about this. Or was being private about this. It's interesting to me, Shannon, there will be people who will be like, well, he would want me to know. Yeah.
And I want to go, well, if he wanted you to know, he would tell you. Yeah.
