So as you all know, and as you're all fucking sick of hearing, I bought my dream house in Camden Town, London in the summer. And basically I had to not only buy, but renovate and furnish the house in a very, very, very short period of time.
Never has the phrase time is money been more appropriate or pertinent to my life. Every fucking week was costing me a lot. And long story short, I had to get a sofa that could be delivered next day. If anyone finds themselves in this very niche situation where you need a sofa being delivered the next day, I'll save you your time and energy. The Sofa Club. OK, the Sofa Club do it. So the sofa club delivered me a sofa. This is not an ad, and it is the most uncomfortable fucking sofa you've ever laid on in your life. Not only that, I don't love it. It depresses me. It looks like something my nan and granddad would have had. No offense to them. May God rest their souls. So the sofa I did want was from this company.
Again, not an ad called the Vintage Sofa Company. They are fucking incredible. They do velvet sofas in like deep jewel colors, bright pink, tiger print, leopard print. You can see where this is going. And I was like, I need a fucking leopard print sofa for that house. I need it. The only problem was there was a three month lead time. The second problem, they were fucking expensive. They were like three grand. So anyway, I went with my basic bitch sofa and I was not happy. And I kept seeing it come up on my Instagram algorithm, like these sofas, like they were taunting me. This is what you could have had if you'd had the money and if you'd had the time. And I did say to myself in my head, I am going to manifest one of those sofas.
I don't know how, but I'm going to do it. Well, blow me down with a fucking feather. I see a post that says we have had a batch of fabric that has had some mild crushing. Haven't we all, okay, at this point, haven't we all been mildly crushed? It's on leopard, so you can barely fucking see it. The sofa is less than half price. I said, what? Thank you, universe. This is what I was fucking waiting for. So I contacted them so fast. And I was like, do you know what? It's a bit like Oasis tickets. Even though you comment on the post saying you're interested, it's not guaranteed you're gonna get a fucking sofa made, okay? You have to be one of the lucky few. My friend Emma got a tiger print armchair. God bless Emma.
So anyway, today, just before I started recording this episode, I got the call and they said, what kind of sofa would you like? We can make it in the fucking damaged fabric. I said, look, this sofa is going to be as damaged as me. I'm excited. Make me a corner sofa, bitch. And it's coming at Christmas. That is going to be my Christmas present to myself. So, yeah, now I need to figure out what to do with the other sofa because it is only eight weeks old. but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it um I fucking manifested my sofa are you impressed with me and I said that to the lady on the phone I was like I hope you realize sorry for your business sorry that you've had this crushed fabric but I've been manifesting this so
I'm very happy Anyway, happy end of September to you. We are almost in October and I hate to be a basic bitch, but I am one of these people that gets very excited about the seasonal decor. I get very excited about adorning my porch in pumpkins. I get very excited. to start buying Christmas presents. And do you know what else I start doing at this time of the year?
