Uh well, let it endstand. We have actual news to deliver you today through your ear holes. And uh I believe we should start by looking back at something from last week. The great northern state of Alaska.
Yes. You see, last week we discussed uh a incredibly intense race between Dan Sullivan and Dan Sullivan in the Alaska senatorial election. Yes, I remember that. So I want to give you a little update. Actually, not on that election, which by the way, the Dan Sullivan, the fake one, is on the ballot still, uh, versus Mary Peltola. Um, but Alaska has only seven hundred and fifty thousand people, and that is just basically enough to have a single Seat in the House of Representatives. So on top of their two senator positions, they are also doing an election for their single House of Representative, Rep. And just like the other one, basically anybody can run in this open primary and then the top four move on to the general election.
So right now, top four, it is Republican incumbent Nick Begage. Okay. A the independent candidate Bill Hill, who's a fisherman and a teacher. And in third place, we got Eric Hefner, who is a Democrat. Okay. But what's interesting is that Eric Hafner is currently in federal prison in New York until 2036. In twenty twenty two he was sentenced. Is there in fourth place? Twenty years. There is. Somebody went behind him.
He's beating somebody. He is in third place. Currently in federal prison.
Yeah, so he's threatened to kill police officers, judges, made bomb threats and did harassment campaigns and tried to blackmail them for money to get them to stop. Um, so this is just, I thought, an interesting aspect where you can go vote for this person in Alaska actually coming in this upcoming general election. Uh the US Constitution requires candidates to live in the state that they will represent at the time of the election.
Okay.
So this shouldn't work on paper. But to count to counter this, he registered like his information for the election using his mom's address, who lives in South Dakota. Quote from the AP, neither has any apparent ties to Alaska.
And so I was like, what the hell I'm sorry, I'm reading it down. He's
never visited Alaska. According to Alaska News Source dot com, neither him nor his mom have, quote, ever set foot in the state. From his mom, Carol Hafner, I've flown over it. As far as boots on the ground, that's in my future. Now you might wonder why it's in her future. It turns out she's running for Senate. She lives in South Dakota and also ran successfully for Senate. In Alaska. What is six? What does successfully mean?
