Chapter 1: What happened to Tony that led to his emergency surgery?
Hello and welcome back to the Math20 podcast with me Joshua Fox and I have quite a sad update this morning. As some of you guys may have seen on socials, Tony was admitted to hospital on Thursday after suffering a heart attack. The 53 year old was rushed to Wollongong hospital for emergency surgery after experiencing ongoing chest pains. Doctors then performed a coronary artery bypass graft
to treat the blockage and save his life. Speaking to Daily Mail from his hospital bed over the weekend, Tony admitted he now plans on slowing down his lifestyle a little, admitting that in the last couple of months he's been smoking a lot more cigarettes, partying a lot, drinking a lot, stressed out, and it all caught up with him.
Chapter 2: What did Tony reveal about his lifestyle changes after the heart attack?
Tony also reflected saying he found the whole ordeal very scary and eye-opening and revealed there could be a family link to heart issues, saying that his mum also suffered from an aneurysm. And on Sunday, Ryan then shared a series of videos and pictures visiting Tony in the hospital, letting fans know that his best friend is doing okay and on the mend. Take a listen to this.
Just see the surprise my best mate.
Chapter 3: How did Tony's family history influence his health concerns?
Tony time. Oh, look who's here. We're here. Tony Time's gone into the recovery position.
Well, yeah, last week I had a bit of a scare and I just want to say a big thank you to the people of Wollongong Hospital, especially the people down in the cardiac division.
Chapter 4: What messages did Ryan share about Tony's recovery?
Absolutely amazing.
He's in the Maso wing. He's in the Maso wing. You can smile about it.
The cleaner's his neighbour, we just met her. My connection's everywhere, even in the hospital. So I am wired up, as you can see, checking things in my heart. I'll be here till Monday. But just a big, big thank you to all the people in the Wollongong Hospital, mate. They're amazing, absolutely amazing.
Chapter 5: What reflections does Tony have about his health and future?
Especially that doctor who operated on me a few minutes.
No more gin sessions, no more scary wives, eh? No more maps. That's what created the heart attack. That's the theory.
But anyway, everything's good. Peace. And that's all I've got for you today, guys. Glad that Tony is on the mend. As I said in a recent episode, when I met him at that reunion viewing party thing, he was actually a very lovely man and actually very funny. Have a lovely week.
