Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
You're listening to a Mamma Mia podcast. Hello and welcome to Mamma Mia Out Loud. It's what women are actually talking about on Wednesday the 11th of February. I'm Holly Wainwright. I'm Amelia Lester. And I'm Jessie Stephens. And we're going to get to the return of Amelia Lester in a second, everybody.
Because the Out Louders, they are quick to panic.
They are. Someone went in the outladders and they just wrote, OK, where's Amelia? And the vibe of that particular comment to me was, have you locked her away? Like, is she just too clever and you've decided that she's not allowed? Amelia was away. We'll get to it. But here's what else is on our agenda for today.
I have got a very important scurrilous gossip update that takes in everything from a cheating skier... to Jen and Ben, point 25, and to a post-Super Bowl super breakup.
Plus, there is a true crime story which we just can't look away from.
And Penisgate plus Lindsay Vonn, the woman who has divided sports spectators all over the world.
But first, Amelia's been in America and we would like a quick vibe check from that nation.
Yes, like Hayley Bieber, I just returned to Australia from America today. I was in seat 81A on a Qantas flight from Dallas to Sydney and I think she was in... seat 82B. Just behind you. Just behind me.
She could have been in first class or she could have been flying proud. I think maybe. Isn't she a billionaire? She literally just landed because one of her fancy glazing milks. Yeah, well, me too.

Chapter 2: What confession did Sturla Holm Laegreid make after winning bronze?
But are they running out to see Melania, the film?
Oh, look, the snow was the only thing stopping them. But then I added grit because I felt like a lot of the Americans that I was talking to in Washington who are kind of like either in government or adjacent to government, a lot of them are journalists, there's a sense that, yeah, we're going through this very tumultuous time right now, but also we're
Life has to go on and people are trying to think about the future and what sort of lessons might be learned from this period of American history. And there is this sense of resolve amongst a lot of the Americans that I spoke to there. And then the second part of my trip was a girl's trip. I went to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and they are famous for being the birthplace of Dolly Parton.
Did you stay in a cabin in the woods?
I did. I did stay in a cabin in the woods and I went horse riding. Did you see a bear? The bears are hibernating, Jessie. I learned this myself. I asked and they just looked at me like I was very silly and foolish because it is, of course, winter there. So I didn't see a bear, but
It was really beautiful and nice and also a reminder that in a lot of America, you know, you see these headlines about violence and protests and drama. But then in a lot of America, people are just kind of like proceeding with their lives and eating delicious food and not necessarily thinking about what's happening in Washington, D.C.
OK, thank you for that update.
One thing that everyone was talking about and which I feel like I really need to talk about as a result is that Savannah Guthrie's mother is missing. Now, I don't know if you've heard much about this case, but She is this American TV personality. She is a co-host on The Today Show, so she's a morning TV host. And her beloved mother, who is 84 years old, has been missing since last Sunday.
Okay, so I've seen headlines about this and I've been confused. I've not been following it super closely. At first, I... I didn't understand if perhaps it was a case of a disappearance or maybe she had left willingly and they just couldn't find her. And then it looked like it was something more sinister, but then the FBI has kind of been going against what the family said. I'm so confused.

Chapter 3: What details are known about Savannah Guthrie's mother's abduction?
I get that.
That's always my favourite.
Because it's music.
It's dancing. Good times. That's a bit of fun, right? But there's a lot of jumping. There's a lot of sledding. They look cold and most things look very dangerous.
It does look really dangerous. It looks dangerous.
Winter Olympics more dangerous than summer. Yes, way more.
Definitely.
Which we'll get to. But the outline of a penis, I understand. So there are allegations.
The bad bunny videos that I sent your way after the Super Bowl. Exactly. I promise to stop trying to inject him into every conversation very soon. Inject him? Oh, please. That's your fault, not mine.
