I host this show and a show called Retire Right. I've got some books, the award-winning Quick Start Guide to Investing and the Quick Start Guide to Your First Property available where good books are sold or in the description. If you're new here, welcome. If you're an old hand, welcome to M3. Let's get into it right now. All right, Ellie, welcome to the show. What are Ellie's primary financial goals and concerns?
Calling in from Melbourne. Ellie, what do you do with yourself for work?
I'm a lawyer.
Boring. Yeah.
That's a regular response to that answer.
Yeah, 100%. Are you married?
I am married, yes.
Yeah. Ellie and Chris, how old are the both of you?
I'm 36 and he's 37.
Radical. What's Chris do for work?
He works in sports media, content, editing, production stuff.
Sweet. Do you have kids?
We have two kids.
Nice. How old are they?
Five and two.
Sweet. Do you like them?
Most of the time.
Do you have pets? Some of the time.
No pets.
Okay. And what do you want to ask me? What do you want to know what Glenn would do?
Just a general sort of recap, I guess, of our financial situation. I guess I am looking to – sort of figure out where to focus on because my mind is sort of all over the place. I want to upsize our home in the next few years. I want to potentially have another child. I want to start investing, but I don't really know where to start. I don't know if I should considering... I want to upsize my home. I don't know if I should focus on paying off more of my mortgage, investing in shares, investing more in my super, which is probably not the priority at the moment, but my head's a bit all over the place. So I wanted a bit more of a focus, I guess.
How does Glen's Sound Financial House framework apply to Ellie's situation?
Yeah, and I'll certainly give you my opinion, no doubt.
