President Trump is floating the idea of replacing income tax with tariff revenue.
Trump told Fox that revenue from his newly enacted Liberation Day tariffs could eventually be high enough to make income taxes unnecessary, echoing practices from the late 19th century.

The tariffs have sparked turmoil on Wall Street, but the Trump administration says at least 130 nations are now engaging in trade talks. A 90-day pause on most reciprocal tariffs is in place. That's except for China, which faces increased duties after refusing negotiations. For its part, China insists those tariffs will soon backfire, calling them extremely shameless.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg took the stand yesterday and today as the company battles a high-stakes antitrust lawsuit. Daily Wire reporter Tim Pearce has more.
Chapter 4: What is the status of Meta's antitrust lawsuit and Zuckerberg's defense?
The Federal Trade Commission accused the Facebook parent company of monopolizing the social networking market by acquiring rivals like Instagram and WhatsApp, a strategy it calls buy or bury.
Zuckerberg pushed back and said Facebook competes with a broader field that includes companies such as TikTok, YouTube, and X. But prosecutors pointed to internal emails where Zuckerberg called Instagram a threat and wrote, "'It's better to buy than compete.'" If the FTC wins, it could force Meta to part with both Instagram and WhatsApp.
The divestment would be a major blow, especially with Instagram projected to generate over half of Meta's ad revenue this year.
The Trump administration has hit a snag in dismantling the Biden-era CHNV parole program.
Daily Wire reporter Spencer Lindquist has the details. A federal judge in Massachusetts blocked the Trump administration from revoking legal status for over 530,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Judge Indira Talwani ruled that migrants who entered legally under the program must receive individualized reviews, not blanket removals.
The Biden administration launched the initiative in 2023 to reduce illegal border crossings and enhance vetting. The Trump administration tried to end the program via executive orders, giving enrollees until April 24th to leave. But advocates sued. Talwani claims the government's actions undermine the rule of law.

Fencer Stephanie Turner will testify before Congress after refusing to face a male opponent at a recent tournament. Turner took a knee rather than compete against a trans-identifying male, citing safety concerns. The protest prompted her disqualification.
Now she'll appear before a House subcommittee alongside USA Fencing Chair Damian Leffelt, who supports trans-identifying males competing against females. Turner gave Fox News a firsthand account of her protest.
I was asked, what are you doing? And I said, I'm a woman and this is a man and I will not fence this individual. This is a women's tournament. And because tournaments, fencing tournaments are so loud, I don't think Redman heard me explain that to the referee. So he comes up to me and I explain the same thing to him. There's a policy in place that acknowledges me as a woman. If you refuse to fence, you're going to get a black card. You know that, right? And I said, I know.
The Trump administration is now investigating if USA Fencing violated Title IX under the president's executive order banning trans-identifying males from women's sports. Andrew Cuomo's mayoral campaign just took a major hit. The former governor lost out on nearly $3 million in public matching funds due to a paperwork error.
Cuomo's campaign scrambled over the weekend, urging supporters to complete missing forms, but the campaign finance board still denied the funds. Cuomo's team says it's fixing the error and plans to reapply within the allowed grace period. And here with an update on the nurse's brain tumor case is Daily Wire reporter Amanda Prestigiacomo.
A sixth staffer tied to the same floor of a Massachusetts hospital has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Officials at Mass General Brigham's Newton Wellesley Hospital say extensive testing found no environmental risks, but the Massachusetts Nurses Association is pushing back and calling the investigation insufficient. The affected staff worked in the labor and delivery unit.
All tumors reported so far are benign, but fears are mounting as more workers report serious health issues.
