Welcome to the Move It Mama podcast. This podcast started many moons ago as a way to connect more with our members. Now, it's a huge connection point for us to talk about anything and everything, connect with our community outside of our workouts, and simply share more about our ebbs, flows, highs, and lows. No, that's just a run through. There's a spreadsheet run through of the morning. So currently where I live, it is 8.16 a.m. Okay. I've been awake since probably 4 o'clock. I woke at 4 with excruciating pains, period pain, bottom pain situation.
Lisa Fong 0:59
Right, the butthole, that's what happens. Period way with the butthole thing?
Jessica Mizzi 1:06
Yeah, like I'm finding that a bit like this heavy kind of ache.
Lisa Fong 1:11
Real ache, but this time it was so bad I kind of had to breathe through it, like it was so bad. Dan got up to try and find me some medicine, bless him, which was kind.
Jessica Mizzi 1:23
Yeah, very, and I mean, you know, a bit of a role reversal.
Lisa Fong 1:26
Trying to be my carer, maybe. Anyway, I just was like, don't worry about it because I need to get up in an hour and a half anyway for my workout. My alarm was at 5.30am. And it was sort of subsiding a little bit. Like I knew it was going to subside. I knew that this pain is a pain I felt before, but it was so intense. And I was like, wow, this is awful. So I went into the bathroom and took out my disc and just had my period undies because I was like, I just don't want anything foreign in me. I need to just be free. Because that would help my mind knowing it was nothing to do with the disc, you know? Yeah, got you. Didn't help. But I felt it, a bit of relief, like, to just be on my own with the undie thing, you know what I mean?
Lisa Fong 2:13
Anyway, I managed to kind of get myself back off to sleep, but very long. And then I hear...

What happened during the treacherous morning that disrupted your podcast routine?

Lisa Fong 2:20
someone walk out the door and I'm like, well, what, who is that? And it was possibly maybe quarter to five. Mm-hmm. And I went out and it was Rico and his friend and they were going for their 20K run, which I had heard about, but I didn't know it was first thing in the morning and at that time. Wow. And bearing in mind, he only probably got to bed, like he was out till 9.30 last night.
Jessica Mizzi 2:48
Bearing in mind, he doesn't generally run very much.
Lisa Fong 2:52
Bearing in mind, he has not run for a long time.
Jessica Mizzi 2:55
And he's going to do 20 kilometers at 5 a.m.
Lisa Fong 2:58
And his friend had forgotten his shoes yesterday. So all day he was at my house and they were in and out. And I'm like, what are you going to wear? And he's like, oh, just, I don't know. And he's like, so I just assumed he wasn't going for the run or he was going to walk because he only had his Birks. And I'm like, didn't know, I didn't know that they were leaving so early. Like there was no time. I'd never heard that, that they were leaving that early. Like there was nothing. And so I see one boy, it's dark, real dark. And I look down my like passageway thing, hallway outside breezeway. And I see a boy there and I'm thinking it's the boy that stayed the night. And so I'm going, what shoes are you wearing?
Lisa Fong 3:48
And he's like, He said some name shoes. And I'm like, what? And then I was like, what's – anyway, cut a long story short, that was not the boy that stayed the night. That was another boy going on the run. He was here. He was ready to run. He was ready to run. Rico was ready in his singlet. And so I'm like, well, what is your friend wearing? And the friend was going to wear Louie's shoes. And I was like, did you check with Louie? And he was like, yeah, yeah, I asked him last night. He said that he didn't have my size, though. And I'm like, so what are you wearing? Oh, I'm wearing them because they actually are. They fit me. And I'm like, well, did he say that you could wear them? And he's like, well, no. And I'm like, well, you cannot wear them.
Lisa Fong 4:32
Hey, would you say the same? It's not his brother. It's Rico's friend who's wearing Louis' shoes on a 20K run, Louis' only pair of runners ever.
