Hello.
Is she here? Hi, guys. We've got Kirst with us today in the sparkle pod. Wish we were together.
I'm going to spark, please.
What would the studio look like? Pink. Mm-hmm. but plain to be fair as I've got older I feel a bit more plain like yeah we're talking like magenta no I think I'd have like I think it would be I don't know it would have just like little spots of just like pop to pep you up when you need but also calming because I need calm how are we feeling today Kirsty Gordie
Well, I'm surprised to be here. She's so cute. I'm surprised.
People should know that Kirst is a very organized person and I didn't give her that much, if any, sort of notice. Didn't confirm the booking, but here she is. So that's fun.
lisa lisa how are you feeling what are you wait this is an organized person thing do you plan friend catch-ups like weeks prior or do you like to do that the day of i'm not that um i like to have a little bit up my sleeve but i don't mind if it's the day of i'm not fussy like that really oh yeah okay just with professional parts of your life you like to have a plan yeah I just I just wasn't prepared for this that's okay um I just was wondering because I don't like it like if someone was like hey let's have dinner or not really now I suppose when the kids were younger like let's have a play date like on Thursday the 7th of September And I'll be like, no, I can't do that. Like I like to just plan, you know, a day in advance possibly, or even on the day I'm quite bad like that.
I'd rather just instantaneous or spontaneous. If it works, it works.
Yeah. I agree with that, especially with little kids, because you don't know what you're going to get on that any given day. And so it might all be flowing quite well. And so then the play date is out or it might just kind of tip up. So then it doesn't.
And I remember, like, sleeps and, oh, but the baby might not be on that sleep schedule by then. So I didn't want to book in. But that was so long ago for me. I can't even believe it. It's crazy.
Jess? I'm just thinking about my daughter who throws a playdate request at me right outside the school classroom door and bounces up to me with the friend. And you should tell her not to do that. Yeah, it's frustrating. Yeah. I need to actually have that firmer word.
You just say, Hey, I don't mind you having a play date and stuff, but it needs like, don't do it with the friend, like come up to me, you know, not in front of her, because if I don't want it to work, cause it might be that I can't have it work that day. I don't want to make her, you know, like, so just come to me on your own if that's something, but also maybe go, you're only allowed one a week. Play dates are such a trip, eh?
They're such like a, you know, they can be a blessing and then they can also be a big fat pain in the ass.
It kind of depends on the friendship and the connection because I find with Tay, like some of his friends that come, it's just so easy. It's better. But then some are not as easily entertained and it's always a bit stressful and they're like, mom, but with another friend, they'd just be off.
Yeah, I agree. And Mia's exactly the same, Jess. It will be in front of the parent as well.
Oh, yes. That too, the parent.
Can she come home with us? Can we have dinner together? And I'm like, what? It was like eggs on toast. Like, no.
Yeah.
Yeah. That's so hard. Yeah, so I actually, you asked me how I was, Jess, which was a great question. Thank you for caring. Tell me. I am. last week I think on the pod I was I told you that I make the kids like all the boys lunches and breakfast and stuff now I'm retired from parenting the teenagers and I'm only doing it to little boys because the little boys are so grateful the teenagers are not so yesterday afternoon I actually was crying like crying sobbing to my husband saying how
