Welcome to the Move It Mama podcast. This podcast started many moons ago as a way to connect more with our members. Now, it's a huge connection point for us to talk about anything and everything, connect with our community outside of our workouts, and simply share more about our ebbs, flows, highs, and lows. If you're interested in working out with us, you can sign up for your free trial at moveitmama.co.nz. We hope you enjoy. Surprise, surprise. You're so good at the beginning. Start. Okay, hi. Hi, everyone. Okay, so just newsflash, we're here. We're attempting. What's wrong? Yeah, there we go. That's it. Into your mic. Okay, we're here and I'm into my mic. We are attempting round two of this because we got a couple of messages last night that were so lovely and we've just discussed this morning that I think it would be really, really nice to...
Lisa Fong 1:06
bring this to you in camaraderie and support of we are not alone because you guys have made us, it made it very clear that how much you love listening to us. So we will, we're trying again. I do just want to say, we also know that we don't, we know you don't expect us to be completely on the ball with our conversations every week. And we, Often we don't think we are and we put them out and we don't really mind. But I think we both felt a little bit distant from each other and not connected. And we didn't leave each other feeling uplifted. So... it's kind of weird because normally we always, we don't have that situation, but we, we didn't feel like it was a bit of a sour taste. So, and so why would we, we didn't want to, it didn't feel good to put it out.
Lisa Fong 1:56
Whereas often we, we talk absolute crap and think, oh my God, should we put that? And we put it out because it's still, we still bring each other up.
Jessica Mizzi 2:03
And it's funny, the irony is, because at the start of the episode yesterday that we recorded that has not come out, for those of you who need some context, I was like, hey, everyone, we're here. And just for reference, or so you know, Lisa and I haven't spoken properly for like four days. So you're hearing our first conversation. And it was not a good one, which is really unusual. And what it was really was, we can probably talk to this a bit, is like... But every now and then for me, Jess, it becomes really poignant that like we're at really different life stages. And Lisa, as we wrote in our post last night, is like, you know, in a really heavy season has been for a long time. And while that's like not had a barrier on our conversations in the last two years very much or very often because it kind of hasn't, we've shown up and done a podcast most weeks.
Jessica Mizzi 2:55
Yeah. it was just like, you know, it was menial shit. Like I am obsessed with a TV show.

Why did you decide not to publish yesterday's podcast and try again today?

Jessica Mizzi 3:02
Lisa can't fucking watch a TV show because her children are in her way and they're awake till 10 PM. Um, she's like, I prefer a book. And I'm like, I don't get that. Like, it was just like, not the same page.
Lisa Fong 3:14
We could actually like, yeah, that's funny. Anyway. Um, Yeah, I think it was like normally we can soften over those differences with softness and compassion. But yesterday there just seemed to be a lack of connection. Yeah, we kind of like disagreed on everything.
Jessica Mizzi 3:35
We need to have sex. We had this amazing, we had quite a few messages, but someone who said, you know, fair play for you for not posting your podcast, but she was going through something really difficult a few, very, very, very hard a few weeks ago, still is, I assume, and listened to our podcast on the drive to a really horrible thing and that we were the company she needed to take her mind away from spiraling thoughts and worry and that was like you know the chat wasn't about anything in particular but it was exactly what she needed it was just like a chat with friends so we've made a point to come back here um today and hope hope to do better but also just put out whatever we come to the table with a yeah but I think
Lisa Fong 4:22
having addressed it together last night over, you know, me and you were talking and then coming back together today, like it, it won't be the same vibe of yesterday.
