Chapter 1: What should I know about selling on Amazon in Mexico?

1.651 - 22.242

do you have any experience selling on amazon in mexico yeah a little bit so you can basically turn on amazon mexico from narf the north american remote fulfillment and you get a few sales not a lot i have heard that there's more spanish speaking searches and sales happening on amazon.com

22.222 - 50.085

than on amazon mexico if that makes sense so even though mexico is a spanish-speaking country and the us just is a country with a lot of spanish speakers we still have more sales because one it's just people use amazon it's just more part of what people do there's more disposable income in the us if you want to have fba inventory in mexico it is a complete headache i know very few people that have done it i know people have looked into it and just like i'm out

So the problem is you have to have what I think is called an RFC ID. It's basically their version of like an import number, like an EIN number in the US. What's your rule for raising bids versus increasing budget? Okay, if we're talking about sponsored products or anything where there's a keyword involved, you can only spend what you can only spend.

If there's not more people searching, you can increase your budget all day long. You're not gonna spend anymore. Bids generally is going to be the lever that is going to give you more control of whether you show up more, show up less. So I would say bids is generally speaking where you want to spend time, even if you're not profitable.

Lowering your budget, all that means is you're just going to run out of budget in the middle of the day. So I would focus more on lowering your bid. So if you want to get more aggressive, increase your bids. If you start to run out of budget, then increase your budget. So if you're doing well, you're getting the sales, don't let budget run out. Budget is just a guardrail. It's not a driver.

102.783 - 122.158

Whether you are more conservative or more aggressive with your bids is kind of like in your car, your gas and your brake. Your budget is a guardrail to make sure you don't fall off the cliff. And all of a sudden, you know, you're spending way more money than you intended to. So if you're doing well, I wouldn't worry about budgets.

122.257 - 128.826

Any thoughts on external traffic ads like TikTok or Insta ads in the hope of catching that viral fish and blowing up the pond?

Chapter 2: What are the FBA and RFC requirements for selling in Mexico?

128.846 - 147.41

Yeah. So that's gonna be a good way to depending on your product. So if your product is something that like there are affinity groups, meaning people who would be interested in your product, like fitness enthusiasts or people who like Italian cooking. and there's already ads being run to that audience, then maybe that's a product worth going for.

147.611 - 166.017

And if your product has long-term benefits, meaning like for you, like they could be purchasing the product again and again and again in the future, then maybe you're willing to lose a little bit of money there. But I would say like if you're selling a can opener, a dry erase marker, Facebook ads, Instagram ads, TikTok ads are probably not going to do well for you.

0

165.997 - 179.234

If you're talking about like TikTok and Insta ads more for like reels or UGC content, if your product requires a little bit of explanation, I would say yes. Viral fish is their viral opportunity for your product.

0

179.254 - 190.047

And so if your product's hard to explain or people don't necessarily know they need it, but once they see the need, it clicks, then maybe video ads on those platforms would do better for you.
