But the more I think about it, the more I start going down the list of rappers I like, it's like, it's not fair. He doesn't have no solo rap albums. You got to have a solo rap album. We denounce him for not giving us one. I'm never denouncing him. I'm just saying, I, me personally, my personal list, I cannot have a rapper as being one of the top five ever. And then somebody say, what's his solo album?
And I said, he never put out one. To me, that's insane to say that. It's insane. Doesn't take none away from his skill set, but you know how different it is. to create an album with a group, even if it's just one other member, versus it's just you. It's a whole different, it's a whole different ballgame.
Some people never created music or an album, so maybe they don't know, but you can ask any MC, any rapper that started in a group,
and they will tell you when it was time to create that solo album it was an entirely different process and a whole lot more pressure on that one artist yeah because even like the more i thought about it after we left i still stand on him being in that conversation but i was thinking back of like when q-tip put out the renaissance i was like oh yeah like q-tip's now solidified when he put out that solo it's like all right two three verses every record making every beat like all right q-tip
Fuck everything he did with Trap. This guy is just goat status now that you could put out a five mic record by yourself. So I hear you.
