Chapter 1: What is discussed at the start of this section?
This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed human.
I'm Daniel Alarcón, and this is my friend who's much more famous than I am.
I wouldn't go that far, but I'm John Green, co-host of the podcast The Away End with my old friend Daniel.
On our podcast The Away End, we'll share with you the magic of international football, all leading up to the 2026 World Cup. Together, we'll find out why, of all the unimportant things, football, soccer, is the most important.
Listen to The Away End with Daniel Alarcon and John Green on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

I kind of noticed that this year was different at the new year. Usually the gyms are like completely packed. That's over with. It kind of was empty.
At least on my end, yeah. I will say this. I do like to see that. Well, I've noticed that more people are more health conscious these days. Like even people I never thought would care about health and working out, they're trying to get in there a little bit.
Or we're just getting older and realizing that, you know, it hurts to get out of bed sometimes. Yeah. It's like I should probably start checking these types of things. Got to stretch in the mornings.

Chapter 2: How do Rory and Mal feel about the upcoming A$AP Rocky album?
Corrupt, E-40, Cypress Hill. uh yeah diplomatic community was a double disc 27 tracks um outcast speaker box love blow i i don't consider that it's not a it's yes it was packaged as a double disc yes but two different and one's a rap album one's not exactly um i didn't know little flip gave us one where were you in 04 when when flip gave us the double disc I remember that.
I remember Flip's double disc. Oh, UGK Underground Kings. That was a good double disc. 26 records. I'll give them that. Yes. Not quite on the Life After Death or All Eyes On Me. But yeah, that UGK Underground Kings album is a great double disc. All right. Well, Cole, I respect it. That's just a lot of pressure. We're going to see. All right. Does that put a...
Pressure, I'm not making this a big three thing, guys, I promise. But just based off what Guru had said to Hov, like, yo, all the legends have put out double discs. Even at that point.
Was Mr. Morale, was that a double disc?
Was that considered? Yeah. Cole was the only one left.
Okay. Cole was the only one left. 2-6, 2-disc? What'd you say? 2-6? 2-disc, 2-6?
All right. All right, man. But even then, I put Scorpion and Mr. Morale lower in their discographies, too. It's tough. I don't know. I don't think Cole and the people around him would allow him to do a double disc if they didn't feel like it was up to par.
And they've been working on this for so long.
Yeah. Like if they haven't even like, if certain songs haven't even gotten old to them yet and it's been five years and yeah, maybe he's fucking a flawless double disc. Yeah. So we'll see. Mo, what's that right there? It doesn't look like the most powerful iPhone that's ever existed. This old thing? That is not the all new iPhone 17 Pro designing the most powerful iPhone of all time.

Chapter 3: What are the latest updates on P-Valley?
Yeah, but it looked up and it kind of looked like Akon a little bit. Speaking of shows that we have not gotten in a while, what's up with P-Valley, man? P-Valley? It's been a while.
Yeah, I don't know, man. I don't know. Shout out to our guy, J. Alphonse. I saw him... When we were in Brockley. Brockley City.
Brockley City.
We saw him. Was that two years ago now? Yeah. I saw him there and he said that he took his hat off and he had the, he had the little murder hair and cutting the dye. And I was like, I was so excited. I was like, you back? Like, he's really little murder. I thought he was performing. Yeah. So he said, yeah, he said, yo, we filming, you know, this, that, and the third, like we back on set.
But that was like, like I said, that was almost two years ago. So I don't, I don't know. I don't know what happened. Cause it was, the last season was 2022. Yeah. Shannon Thornton was on the show. She posted a beautiful picture on Instagram the other day. I don't know if that was, you know, on the set of P-Valley or not. But, yeah, I don't know, man. That show was such a great show.
I don't know what happened. Like I said, J. Alphonse told me that they were they were back filming and shooting.

Chapter 4: What is the significance of Kai quitting streaming?
So I don't know what happened with that.
AI says that season three is filmed in post-production with an expected premiere on Starz in late 2025 or early 26. Okay, so? I just feel like they would have announced it by now. So probably mid, maybe summer? Yeah. Possibly? Yeah. But I mean, if it's done, listen. Maybe April? I hope they have a quicker turnaround with that show because that show is incredible.
Really good show. And like Euphoria, I do expect to see Up in production, storyline changes with P-Valley, but definitely a great show. So looking forward to that in 26.
Yeah. We brought up earlier, but I did want to get more into detail about it. Kai said he's quitting and just doing fashion full time. He's got a sewing machine. He's doing his Kanye, I'm moving to Paris to be an intern phase. I don't believe him. I don't know if I believe that he's completely quitting forever, but...
I can respect somebody at the peak of their career realizing that this is not making them happy and they want to quit. I can see that.
I can see Kyle wanting to try different things. And, you know, definitely he's created an amazing platform for himself. He's built enough access and opportunity for himself. So I want to see him chase his dreams and, you know, have different goals. Love that for him. When you say quitting streaming, I don't know if he didn't.
And not only that, he was just on... He was just on something the other day and DDG was looking at it and he noticed... He noticed Kai's backpack. His streamer backpack. And he was like... No, he's he got the itch. He's ready to he's ready to fire up the stream right now. He noticed Kyle's backpack and he was like, oh, he still got it with him.
So it's kind of like, you know, he says he's quitting. Maybe I don't know if quitting is the word. Maybe, you know, just focusing on other things right now. But I got to stream some of that.
No, like the fashion stuff. I mean, even the video. It's not a stream, but.

Chapter 5: How do Rod Wave and Don Toliver compare in terms of artistry?
But again, Kyle has done so many things in that space, man, where he's dedicated literally. every day, every hour of his life to that. I can definitely understand him wanting to completely just remove himself for that for a while. Like just mentally, I can only imagine how draining that is on him to be sitting in front of a screen and a camera
24 7 for days at a time months at a time like that shit has a it takes a toll on you so you know i think he has other passions and things like that that he's uh afforded himself to do and and try so i think he's gonna do that for a while but somebody gonna offer kai a stupid bag for just even if it's a one night only stream like he's gonna get a crazy just to do that so
I don't think quitting is the word. I think he's stepping away from it and trying other things, but not at the same clip of every day. Yeah. Like it was before. It was like rappers. You can't quit rapping. Yeah. You can't quit. Rappers, rappers can't retire. You can't quit.
Yeah. I mean, again, I just, I give him credit for being that young and that self-aware of At your peak. That's a tough decision, but if you know this shit is not making me happy, I want to do other things. I applaud that. Take a break. Take some time.
Take some years off. Do that. Do other things. Acting or whatever.

Chapter 6: What are the implications of naming a thousand rappers?
Do all of that. But quitting, I don't know if he's done. I don't know if quitting is the word. I highly doubt Kai is done with that. But again, I love the fact that he's taking time off and trying other shit.
I did see a security guard quit his job while he was on his post at the Rod Wave event. concert just so he could you know get his bars off A security guard quit his job. His manager said, yo, you can't do this. You're working. And he said, well, I quit. Just so we can get this looking. Can we get some volume? He didn't have the tune. That's where I think he should have.
I'm sure he sounds a little different in the studio.
You're in a lot of trouble. Yeah. My friend. He's trying to hate you. He's doing his game. You can't do the uniform. I'm learning the uniform. I'm about to quit, bro. I was going to quit anyway, bro. That's the only reason I came here, for real. To rock the raw way, bro. That's the only reason I came. I respect it. He just quit right here. Ain't no way, bro, just quit his job like that.
Bro, he just quit his job. I'm real. That was a terrible idea, bro. I respect it.
That was a terrible idea.
That would be real. That was a terrible idea. Literally the phrase, don't quit your day job. I mean, listen, I respect it. And this did go kind of viral. So like he did get a valuable moment for his career if he stays consistent. I just think maybe he sounds a little bit better with some tune. I don't know. There's certain artists that like backstage you get your bars off.
Like when Meek was coming up. Yeah, Meek. If Ross walked by, I'm a rap for him. And that'll translate. The way these kids sing with all the effects. I don't know if you could just be backstage. Yeah. Trying to get your shit on. Yeah, I don't know how Rod... He needs an auto-tuned personal path. Listen, Rod is an incredible talent.
I don't know if Rod sounds this much better than this kid standing here. I agree. I'm saying in the studio, he may sound good.
