So we have got a lot to talk about with the Earl Spencer interview and all of the very different notes that he hit and all the things that we discussed. But I think it is just worth starting with one of the clips that's been in the news this morning. is when he talked about the parallels between how Harry and Meghan are being treated. And how his late sister was treated. Let's just hear the clip.
I think there's this perception in the media that I'm on Harry's side. Well I'm on my deceased sister's son's side, both of them, and if either of them wanted anything, then I'd be equally there for them. And I never get involved in one camp or the other, except as a benign figure, I hope. Yeah, that's my role.
Do you think Diana would identify with the attention, the focus that has been put on them. And with with Megan who said she felt like she was the most trolled person in the world. You know, they were they were here during the summer not so long ago.
If you look at An article in a tabloid about Dino or the couple that you were mentioning, Harry and Meghan, You know, it's it's they c they can be really, really unpleasant. And I think it would be really beholden on people to learn from Diana's example. I'm not here to speak for Harry and Meghan, but for anyone who's being destroyed in this way daily, i it must be such a cancerous influence in their life. I saw it with Diana. I saw Diana. I mentioned it in the eulogy, her tears of despair. One of the problems with Diana was she was very, very sensitive to criticism. And of course, m I'm sure most of your viewers now think, oh, she had this splendid life and it was all amazing, and she didn't it was she was so privileged and so perfect in so many ways.

It's interesting in there there's two things that I'd love to know your view on Daniela. One is the different camps and whose side, quote unquote, Earl Spencer is on. And then second of all, the treatment of Harry and Meghan and whether or not you think those comparisons really bear out. So people do tend to think that Charles Spencer is in Harry's camp, don't they?
Yeah, they do. And there is sort of evidence of that in terms of um, you know, when we have seen him in public, we've got all those photos from the summer that Meghan posted of this kind of incredible idyllic sunny family few days they had in All Thorpe in the pool with throwing the kids up in the air, you know, having clearly a really nice family summer holiday there.
