The front office is struggling desperately to find a trade partner for Ja Morant, per Brian Windhorst. Ja was the future face of the NBA at one point and had his own shoe line with Nike. Joe, how did we get here? I can tell you. Man, we got here, obviously, due to Ja's negligence of the things that he does off the court. We can't cut it a slice of no other damn way, Ocho. You know, the gun situations... And from that point, yeah, it was twice. And from that point, it's been downhill for my guy. I ain't going to lie to you. I don't know how else to cut it. It seems like that has affected him to the point to where he hasn't played up to his standards or what we think his standards are, being that superstar.
Hey, Ocho, he still got one of the hottest damn shoes out here. His ass ain't even been clean. And he about to drop another one. You know what I mean? So I don't know about y'all, but for me being a basketball head, I love and enjoy watching that young man play. I want to see him get back on the court. I want to see him get back playing and having fun playing. See, it's a difference. Man, it's a difference when you play the game and you ain't really worried about all that outside noise and you can just hoop. You know, at the end of the day, even though you get paid a lot of money for it, you still want to enjoy the half. We lose sight of that. We lose sight of that once we get in these professions because there's so much on us to be able to contribute and perform on a night to night basis.
And to some degree, a lot of cats ain't ready for that. Sometimes it comes, it happens a lot too fast, too soon. And next thing you know, you caught in a heap of trouble.
