Chapter 1: What strategies can help turn acquaintances into friends?

0.031 - 19.264 Unknown

Is there an acquaintance in your life that you'd love to turn into an actual friend? And have you thought about saying, hey, we should hang out sometime? Maybe think again. The more specific you are, the more likely it is that you're actually going to get together, you know, pull out your calendar, pick a time, pick a thing to do together, and actually follow through.

Live from NPR News, I'm Giles Snyder. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton calls her questioning Thursday by the House Committee investigating the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein repetitive. Clinton spoke to reporters after sitting for a closed-door deposition that lasted for more than six hours.

I don't know how many times I had to say I did not know Jeffrey Epstein. I never went to his island. I never went to his homes. I never went to his offices. So it's on the record numerous times.

She has said that she and her former and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, don't have knowledge of Epstein. It's very limited. The Clintons initially refused to testify but relented.

When lawmakers moved to hold them in contempt of Congress, Bill Clinton is to take questions Friday. He has not been accused of wrongdoing. Columbia University says Homeland Security detained a student who was inside a university residential building Thursday. The student was subsequently released, as NPR's Jasmine Garst reports.

98.885 - 119.577 Unknown

Columbia University officials say federal agents from the Department of Homeland Security entered a Columbia residential building and detained Almina Agayeva. In a statement, a DHS spokesperson says Agayeva is from Azerbaijan and that her student visa was terminated in 2016 for, quote, failing to attend classes.

119.557 - 128.751 Unknown

School officials also say the federal agents misrepresented themselves in order to gain access to the building, saying they were searching for, quote, a missing person.

Chapter 2: What did Hillary Clinton say about her deposition regarding Jeffrey Epstein?

129.312 - 143.775 Unknown

DHS denies that. The arrest comes nearly a year after Palestinian students Mahmoud Khalil and Mohsen Mahdawi, both of whom have valid immigration status, were detained. Jasmine Garst, NPR News, New York.

This is a life rope. It's an opportunity to get back into the game, and that money could be used here wisely.

Pennsylvania was awarded $193 million this year. Oz says he's not concerned about the predicted financial struggles hospitals could face with changes to Medicaid. The Trump administration plans to cut the federal health care program by more than $900 billion over 10 years.

190.195 - 194.822 Unknown

We're optimistic that Pennsylvania would do well, especially with the Rural Health Transformation Fund.

A federal judge says construction on President Trump's White House ballroom can move forward for now. The judge Thursday rejected a request from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The group wanted the judge to block construction, saying the president did not follow proper procedure in tearing down the east wing of the White House.

223.125 - 247.455 Giles Snyder

The judge, however, suggested he could reconsider if the suit is amended. Members of Congress say the U.S. military used a laser to shoot down a Customs and Border Patrol drone, an accident that led the FAA to expand an already closed airspace near El Paso, Texas. Just over two weeks ago, another use of an anti-drone laser caused the FAA to shut down the El Paso airport and the surrounding area.
