Live from MPR News in Washington, I'm Giles Snyder. President Trump will soon meet with the head of the European Union in Scotland, NPR's Franco Ordonia's reports on the rush to reach a trade deal.
The president is hosting the EU president Ursula von der Leyen at his golf club in Turnbury. Upon landing in Scotland, Trump told reporters he thought there was a fifty-fifty chance at reaching a new trade agreement with the EU.

To comply with the Voting Rights Act, we should have 60% of the seats that allow people of color to elect their representatives. That would be 24 seats. Instead, we currently only have 14.
Crockett is one of three black democrats in the Texas congressional delegation and the only one whose district is not targeted in the Justice Department letter.
