Austin Council member Mike Siegel spoke to NPR from the scene of the shooting, which is just blocks from his home. He said the car of the person had at least two bullet holes in the passenger side. Photos from the scene confirmed that.
My hope today is that we can investigate what happened and if an ICE officer committed a crime that they will be fully prosecuted and that we can hope to restore some semblance of law and order in this country.

The UN World Food Program says that in just a matter of days this month, a hundred and twenty-five thousand people were displaced in Yemen. And it says that number will likely rise as frontline fighting moves. Alison Bottomley is with the aid group, the Norwegian Refugee Council, in Yemen.
