The Justice Department in November asked a federal judge in New York to release the investigative materials from Ghislaine Maxwell's sex trafficking case after Congress passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Now, U.S.
District Court Judge Paul Engelmayer has granted that request and authorized the department to publicly release the grand jury materials as well as the investigative records while redacting personally identifiable or other victim-related information. A similar request to make public investigative records from Epstein's prosecution in New York is still pending before a different federal judge.

A new survey from AARP finds adults 50 and up are now some of the fastest growing tech adopters in the United States. NPR's Alison Aubrey reports there's a significant increase in use of health tech, fitness trackers and digital medical services.
The use of health tech medical platforms such as GoodRx, LifeAlert, and Digital Health Records has increased from 35% of people 50 and up using them up to 46% in just one year. The survey finds digital devices are deeply woven into the daily lives of adults 50+. Two-thirds of respondents agree that technology makes daily life and aging in place easier.
