What is the Faster Payments Value Engine and how can it help banks calculate ROI?
Off the rails from the US Fast Republican.
This is Off the Rails from the US Faster Payments Council, and I'm your host, Reed Lutanen, CEO of the FPC. Today I'm joined by ACI Worldwide's Director of Account to Account Payments for the Americas, Bridget Hall. Bridget and I talk about ways to help financial institutions and corporates identify the value in faster payments, including the FPC's recently unveiled value engine, the learnings Bridget thinks we can take from the experiences in Colombia and refrigerators. But first, the headlines. Registration for the FPC Fall Member Meeting is open. It will be in Kansas City november fourth through the sixth. Find that at fasterpaymentscouncil dot org, of course. And as always, a huge thank you to our fall member meeting sponsors.
First, our platinum sponsors, ACI Worldwide, North American Banking Company, and Visa Direct, and our gold sponsors, Aloya, BNY, DeNovo Treasury, EPAY Resources, Epcor, Federal Reserve Finance. Financial Services, FinCom, FinSley, Form Three, Identifee, MasterCard, Paymento, Plaid, PTAP Advisory, Shazam, the Clearinghouse, Trustly, Validify, Wespay, and Wisea. And as you will hear Bridget and me talk about in just a few minutes, the FPC has launched our value engine. This is a completely new tool that will allow financial institutions and corporates to input their key payments data and get benchmarked, unbiased estimates of the potential ROI for implementing different faster payments. You can find that on the FPC website.
There's a basic version for non-members in the education tab. Members, head to the members-only area where you can use the full functionality of this. Powerful new tool. And FPC will be out in the industry over the next few weeks. First, I'll be in San Diego speaking at a on a panel about Pay by Bank at the Merchant Risk Council's Fall Conference. Then Angela Hendershot, FPC's SVP of operations, will be hosting a panel discussion at UMACA's Navigating Payments Conference in the Twin Cities. And then the week after that, I'll be doing a couple panels on pay by bank and another one on AI at the Merchant Advisory Group's Payments Conference in Nashville. Please reach out if you're going to be in the area.
Also, one other thing related to the fall member meeting that I do not want to miss an update on is we have launched our FPC Awards. There are three different awards FPC will be giving out at our fall member meeting. You can find details about that at fasterpaymentscouncil.org. And with that, let's get to the discussion with Michael. And with that, let's get to the discussion with Bridget Hall from ACI Worldwide.
All right, we're joined by Bridget Hall of ACI Worldwide. Bridget, thanks for joining.
Thanks for having me back.
All right. Yeah. And you have been on maybe more than anyone else at this point. You know, I have not spent any time verifying that, but let's just go with it. Let's just say you've been on the most times. Um for anyone new, give us a quick reminder what you do, ACI worldwide, you know, where you guys sit in the ecosystem, kind of just level set for us.
Yeah, absolutely. So I lead the strategy and go-to-market initiatives for real-time and account-to-account payments at ACI worldwide. We are a global payment software company, but I focus mostly on North and South America, working with banks, credit unions, and central banks to help modernize payments. drive adoption of the next generation of payments, including of course our favorite instant payments read that we talk about here at the FPC. And then, you know, the upcoming digital assets, stablecoin and kind of what's next for banks too. And one of the exciting things that I get to do at my role at ACI is I support instant payments on a global perspective. ACI supports 26 real-time domestic schemes around the world.
And eleven central infrastructures. And that's something I've had the opportunity to kind of see how each country adopts instant payments differently and in different conditions of what's happening within the country.
