I brace, half expecting a drained psycho waiting for me. But instead, what I see takes me by surprise. A young, rail thin woman my age-ish, with long stringy black hair, probably five nine or so.
What wasn't right about her was everything else. Her nails are long, yellow, pointed like claws. I know that's the fashion now, but this is not that. Her skin color is off. Pale, like she's never seen the sun at all. She has bald patches from where she supposedly pulled her own hair out. Her face has scars and fresh scratches. But what strikes me most of all is her eyes.
