You know, Sligo were probably overall, they passed the ball better than we did first half and they played really well first half. We didn't play well in the first half but still we could have had four goals probably and they could have had four and it was so open end to end and Danny Rodgers played well for us in that period and so we went in at half time disappointed with our performance and now with the realisation that We've often been behind here at half-time and come back and won well, so with the realisation that we need to step up, I thought we were very good second half and created so many chances. I just couldn't believe it didn't go in numerous times.
In the end, we deserved a win. You mentioned Danny Rodgers, who has had to bide his time, didn't get any games last season. He actually had a good record in 24, I think he had seven clean sheets in 20 matches. But he pulled off a save from Gareth McIlroy in that first half which really was a key part of the game I felt.

Well, not really one up top. I mean, it's not... Romal adapted his position and just to get more control on the game. The game was still too open and we needed to get control on the game and create, you know... Great waves of pressure on Sligo. Great waves of attack and attack and attack and we did that. We hit the post twice. Their goalkeeper made phenomenal saves. We did so many off the line. In the end, Joe Redmond, his first goal of the season. It was a very opportune time because he's been brilliant this season. pretty unorthodox, Sean Hoare crossed for Joe to score and Chris Forrest got the second one, so just as a bonus goal and that was terrific.
Yeah, and that was the crucial goal, the first one. Hoare's delivery was excellent but then the header from Redmond was equally as good, he kind of floated into the far corner.

Well, listen, Sligo were missing a few players today to their credit. But John still set them up in a brave way and they played the better football in the first half and we were a bit predictable. They dropped into a mid-low block and denied us space to play through and we struggled to play through them. And they broke quickly and caused us problems in wide areas. But listen, second half we were excellent, really good. And with so many chances, it just didn't look like it was going to go in. young sam rooney come on and and he looked he missed from six yards yeah when i slid across the goal i thought that was the last chance we might get you know because uh but then he set chris up for the second one now he did he did terrific young player come to the academy here so yeah it's good win key levy um made a couple of long bursting runs but my seven vinnie parton co commentary duty
