We're doing very well. We played a clip of Josh yesterday kind of defending the new uniforms, but talking about how they're symbolic for him, that it represents a sense of newness with the stadium and the coach and all this. And I'm curious where you stand on that. Is that kind of the general viewpoint of the whole organization, that it's the new lease on life this year? What do you make of those comments from Josh?
Yeah, I mean, you love Josh, you know, Josh is a loyal, he's going to defend his teammates. He's going to defend the organization. And, you know, again, I don't follow all the, I couldn't have told you all the hatred I heard a little bit, but it sounds like it was a lot. It's, Like anything, you throw something new out there, you're always going to have opinions. You know that. Shoot, every decision I make or don't make, I know there's a thousand opinions and people get pissed off. It comes with the territory.
How do the Bills view the symbolism of new uniforms, stadium and coaching changes?
listen, I'm, I'm an older school type traditionalists with all sports, all, all things, but that's the way of the world. Now, I mean, he started in college years ago, Oregon probably really started with all the uniforms and it's kind of, you know, for a while, the league didn't really embrace that, but over the, you know, the recent years it's, um, and listen, it's, They sell, and people like the cool things for a game or two, these alternate unis. And so they're kind of fun. I know last year we did the winter one or whatever, which I thought was kind of cool. But there were some people that didn't like that one as well. Like I said, you roll something out, I doubt 100% of the people are going to love it.

Absolutely. And in terms of that kind of symbolism, like Josh saying, we need that. You've got the new stadium, new head coach, you've got new players. We were discussing this last hour. You guys have been so good for so long. You make the playoffs every year. You win playoff games every year, just like you did last year. How much newness do you really need? You're obviously trying to get from the championship game to a Super Bowl. It's not like you're going from last place to just trying to make the playoffs here. How much newness and a different attitude is really needed for this club this year?
I think it's finding that balance. We do have a new head coach. Coincidentally, he was from here, but You don't want it to be, hey, it's just like one guy stepped down and we're just carrying it exactly the way it is. But at the same time, Joe Brady is not. Listen, Sean McDermott had a great run here of nine seasons, helped us be a consistent contender, and we've had a lot of success. But ultimately, the job was open. um you know we haven't been able to get to that big game and win that big game which is which is what we all want and and so i think that's the balance of you don't want to just continue doing the same exact thing but you don't want to throw it all out either it's it's striking that that balance of you know what do we want to keep the same what do we need to tweak and you know you go with
Um, you know, Joe Brady, who, who earned this job, he had a, you know, we interviewed nine guys and we treated, you know, I told people in the media, we treated it like Joe was, I think I used the example, like he was coaching for the green Bay Packers or something like he wasn't here and made him interview like that. And that's kind of the mindset he took with the team is like, um, This is not year 10. This is year one. Even though a lot of people have been here since this regime started with me and McDermott 10 seasons ago.
